    AICS Legacy chassis scarcity

The guys at Mile High Shooting are a good place to start looking, I believe that they're the AI guys stateside. I don't see many legacy stocks on their site right now but maybe give them a call. Another option is to buy a standard AI chassis and then add the thumbhole upgrade kit...

Rifle Scopes New to Long-Range Shooting - Talk me into/out of my Razor AMG

Thanks, that's really helpful. What do you prefer about the AMG's reticle and turrets? I understand the turrets are an upgrade in a few ways, but what specifically did you prefer. And the reticles seem very similar to me, with the main difference being the central aiming point. Out of...

Rifle Scopes New to Long-Range Shooting - Talk me into/out of my Razor AMG

Good question, and fortunately the answer is no. I don't lump my "gear" budget and my ammunition/shooting budget together. If anything, the more I invest in my gear the more I feel obligated to use it!

Rifle Scopes New to Long-Range Shooting - Talk me into/out of my Razor AMG

I appreciate that, and I suspect you're right. I have left the AMG in my closet (which has been hard) with the idea that I would look through the PST Gen II for a while once I got it and see if it worked well for me, then decide if I should look at the AMG or not knowing that it would likely...

Rifle Scopes New to Long-Range Shooting - Talk me into/out of my Razor AMG

Hey SH - Long-time lurker, short-time poster. This is one of those annoying newbie threads asking general questions that are next to impossible to answer, but I've been spinning my wheels on which scope to get for my new build for literally months now; have read so many reviews, message boards...

Rifle Scopes Talk me out of a used Nightforce NXS

I've heard really good things about the Vortex Razor HD LH scopes. Razor quality glass but much lighter. Price is sub-$1000 too.

Rifle Scopes Current Vortex AMG wait time?

Cause I have a six-month-old kid at home and my wife will have my ass if she finds out what this thing cost. Nothing to do with the scope, it was pretty incredible in the 5 minutes I took it out and looked through it. I'll stick to waiting for the PST Gen II like a good boy.

Rifle Scopes Current Vortex AMG wait time?

I've got a brand new AMG mRad I bought last week that I have buyer's remorse over. Shoot me a PM if interested. Pretty new to the forum, I apologize if this sort of post is frowned upon outside the PX.

    KMW Loggerhead Install

Thanks for the response. Emailed Terry, and he said he doesn't do installs that involve creating a new cheek piece, which would be necessary for the Grayboe. He referred me to Stock Doc, said he's the man. Both Terry and Joe have been very helpful.

    KMW Loggerhead Install

Looking to get an integral adjustable cheek piece installed in my Grayboe Renegade. Google says Stock Doc is the guy to do this. Anyone have his contact info? Or someone else that can do the work at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance.

Rifle Scopes Current Vortex AMG wait time?

I just bought one yesterday, MRAD, on Gunbroker for $2500. Not sure if I'm going to keep it yet, but figured I'd have no trouble reselling at that price if it isn't what I'm looking for.

Kestrel w/link vs. without -- should I save money

The best feature with Link is the ability to pull all the current atmospheric and wind data straight into your ballistics app, if you have one that's compatible.

    Lightest bolt gun made?

I've got a Kimber Adirondack in .308. Definitely shoots right around 1 MOA from the bench. It's not the most pleasant rifle to shoot, but my wife has shot it offhand with no complaints and I don't notice the recoil in the field, where it's an absolute dream. Can easily manage with one hand...

What is the actual difference between the Kilo 2000 and 2200?

I owned a 2000 and swapped it for a 2200 when they came out. Supposedly the circle is smaller, but the difference doesn't seem that large to me though I didn't look through them side by side. The 2200 is supposed to have slightly increased range (specs say 1300 vs 1200 for deer and 1600 vs...
