    Pulsar Talion XG35 thermal

Where are you seeing either of these showing discontinued? Thermion 2's and Talions are the latest lines from Pulsar. The Thermion 2 is a 50mm focal length with a more sensitive detector. If you plan on shooting things 2-400+ yds you'll be better off with the 50mm thermion 2.

    Pulsar Talion XG35 thermal

I'd say one of the best deals right now is Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 for $3299 https://www.eurooptic.com/Pulsar-Thermion-2-XP50-Pro-Thermal-Riflescope-PL76544.aspx

    Pulsar Talion XG35 thermal

It would probably help if you mentioned said sale price. That being said, you are going to be hard pressed to find better thermals than Pulsar and Iray products for the price right now if we are talking purely perceived image quality.

Night Vision Another HD Thermal Thread (maybe this time?)

For me the biggest benefit is that 1550 is not as easily absorbed by water vapor and other atmospheric particles. So they tend to perform much better in foggy and/or rainy conditions. However, for me, i cant justify the substantial additional cost. Especially since the 905's of today are...

Night Vision Another HD Thermal Thread (maybe this time?)

It sounds like you'd prefer a 1550nm lrf over a 905. Out of curiosity, can you tell me why?

3-20x50 SB PMII (std) MTC Lockable Problem

this happens on the S&B DT turrets when you over torque the turret set screws. The over torqued screws create a raised burr. That burr contacts the turret cap and causes the turret screw to turn with the cap. If you are mechanically inclined is a pretty easy fix. If not, you will need to send it...

Night Vision NV Taboo (safe for work)

Hate to rain on your taboo parade, but there is nothing German in that pic other than the name of the company.

    Best eyebox

Are you sure you have diopter adjusted correctly? The RZR 1-10 is a fantastic scope to get behind( scope just disappears) and has a super friendly eyebox. If you are disappointed with it in that aspect the 1-8 atacr sure isn't going to make you happy. Maybe you need something other than an lpvo?

    Best eyebox

I whole heartedly disagree. The turrets are basically identical except the improvement to one screw zeroing on the gen 3. The gen 3 is the easiest scope to get behind that I own/use. I have or have access to pretty much every scope in this class. The ZCO is right there with it, but I believe if...

Best Budget (under $2k) non Chinese made 34mm FFP 5-25x range scopes?

Atacr line has both made in usa and made in Japan. Ffp and sfp 7-35 are made in Japan All but the 7-35's are marked USA. The 7-35's are Made in Japan. The first 5-25's(the beast and f1 atacr) were using "USA" glass. I have no idea if that is still the case.

Anyone have any idea what happened to Hensoldt?

I'm pretty sure you can buy those, they just come with slightly different knurling, engraving, and they say Minox on them.

Thermal Leveling - Scope Body or Display???

How canted is it? Can you post a Pic that shows the display in relation to the battery cover? It certainly would be annoying if it's a lot, but assuming they boresighted it during assembly it won't affect anything shooting wise if you just level the display in the rings. This is all assuming...

    FOV issues and patents

That's a tricky question as fov is almost always limited or "stopped down". If you are asking if it abides by the swaro patent....yes it does. I believe it sits at around 21.5 degree AFOV but that number is off memory. I could be a little off. As far as I know there is only one version of the...

    Vortex PST

More than likely it's an older discontinued reticle like the ebr7d or something. Those are the only ones I've ever seen on sale regularly. Vortex typically doesn't enforce MAP on discontinued products.

    FOV issues and patents

Since you did not mention what particular Ziess scopes I have to assume you are referring to S3 and/or S5 since we are on Snipers Hide after all. I just looked at all of them on Ziess's website and they all have less than 23 degree Afov listed(assuming i mathed correctly). I can't find what you...

    Vortex pro rings

The pro rings seem to be about the best bang for your buck all around best I can tell.

    Vortex pro rings

I think you guys may be confusing the pro rings with the precision matched rings. Precision matched are obviously Seekins and I think Vortex is open about that. The pro rings are less money.

    FOV issues and patents

If im not mistaken they have different model numbers. Also, to the best of my recollection the companies you've mentioned have done a decent job of marking them appropriately on their websites as well as the vendors. After all, that is how we noticed the fov differences.

Rifle Scopes Is a Viper PST Gen 3 coming???

So you are comparing SRO hard to find pricing or special sale prices with everyone else's everyday everyone pricing? That seems a little disingenuous, does it not? One could assume you can also do this kind of search you speak of for all the other dots you mentioned. What are those prices...
