    Bench rest or match grade primers. Are they REALLY better than standard?

    I can honestly say you'll never see any difference in MY groups between the two. But I still use the match primers because the LGS sells them for virtually the same price.

    I'm old and little (65, 5'6"x 165 lbs) and with a bunch of praktizing I can handle my .338 RPR (barely). But I STILL don't like my S&W 442. I like my G42 and my Sig 365 a LOT better. Much better triggers.

    Isn't that pretty much standard with every RPR? Seems like that gets talked about all the time. If you go with magazine length anyway. I don't know about my 6.5CM, but if I load the .338 to the lands it's too long to eject, the ejection port opening is too short.

    Admittedly, I'm pretty fortunate. I own a pasture where I have targets at 1,2,300 yds. Then I've got steel at 625 yds. I put in another bench back a ways so I can get steel at 800. I use the 200 yard target for sighting in and groups. Shoot 625 most and then 800, although I'm edging towards 800...
