Suppressors Thunder Beast Dominus, Dominus-K and 338 SR on 300BO

I have a 338 Ultra. It's the real deal. Despite having other Ultras I use the 338 on everything because it's so damn impressive.

    20” 28 nosler

I'm shooting a 28" barrel on my 28. If barrel length was a concern I would choose a less overbore cartridge. The 28 thrives with RL33 and N570, and those slow powders need room to breathe.

    the awesome 300 Norma

My first barrel was a 1-9.5, and I shot the 215 and 230 Bergers with no issues whatsoever. My second barrel is a 1-9, same bullets no issues. As a rule I try to avoid extra torque on the rifle whenever possible, but you should be listening to Terry a hell of a lot more than you should be me.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Favorite IWB holster?

I carry a 365XL in a Comptac Minotaur every day. Super comfortable for all day carry with a smaller pistol like the 365. The leather molds to your body and sometimes I forget that it's even there.

Rifle Scopes Schmidt bender exos 3-21

External travel (or the amount limited by the knobs) is all that matters, because it's all you have access to. Internal travel is how much the erector can actually move, irrespective of the knobs.

Rifle Scopes Schmidt bender exos 3-21

A full 15 mils of external travel would be awesome!

Rifle Scopes Schmidt bender exos 3-21

I'm pretty sure the elevation turret has 15 mils of travel, but you will have access to less than that, depending on your base cant. Either way, plenty of travel for a hunting rifle. 6.5 CM shooting 140s drops about 8.5 mils at 1000 yards at sea level.

Rifle Scopes Schmidt bender exos 3-21

I just ordered one of these for a 7 mag hunting rifle. I will report back once it's up and running.

    Sako S20

For those of you that have handled an S20 - how solid is the mating interface between the buttstock and the rest of the chassis? Is there any play? I am considering ordering one sight unseen since none of my local dealers have any.

Is there such thing as AR15 sniper rifle?

Yet another thread started by someone who thinks a few thousand hours playing call of duty makes him an expert. How the hell are there two pages of responses to this drivel?

Content like this is why I find myself spending less and less time on this forum. Do you people even shoot?

Best middle of the road caliber for North American game

I don't agree with this statement. Sounds like you are using the wrong bullet, or trying to shoot through the shoulders. I shoot pronghorn and coyotes with a 338 Norma improved and a 250 Accubond at 3000+. Put it in the boiler room away from the shoulder and you are golden. Meat loss with...

Best middle of the road caliber for North American game

With a 22" barrel? 30-06 hands down. This is coming from a 7 mag guy, but my 7 mag has a 28" barrel.

    Surgeon .223 AI LRI

That's a hell of a nice no holds barred 223. What bullet are you going to shoot?

Caliber out to 1900 yards, replacing 7mm rem mag

Stick with 7RM. It's a good compromise of performance and barrel life. Moving up to 28 Nosler or the like will cut your barrel life in half or worse. Not worth it for a target rifle in my opinion. I have both and 28 Nosler has been a lesson in constantly stressing out about the throat. My...

The other way around seems much more plausible.

Gunsmithing 5R or 6 groove barrel

Robert Gradous used to talk about how the advantage of even numbers of lands/grooves shows up on the lathe in the form of less chatter/high frequency vibration as a result of the symmetry in the lands and grooves. I'm not a gunsmith but I'd love to hear some other expert opinions on this concept.
