    Gas gun reloading

Yes, neck size down with a bushing half way to final size then FL size to the final neck tension. Both are bushing dies. It helps with case neck concentricty by not going more than .005 down at a time. I thought it was a load of bull until I actually tried it. I figured why not try it since I...

    Gas gun reloading

How do you set neck tension with the button installed? As the cartridge is extracted from the die doesn't the button size it to it's final dimentions? I could be wrong and need to measure my buttons but that's what I thought the purpose of the button was.

    Gas gun reloading

I have a bunch of 175s for my bolt gun. Do the lighter weights work better for gas guns? I assume a 1 in 10 twist should be plenty for the 175s.

    New from flagstaff AZ

Welcome Jon! I lived in Flag for a couple years many moons ago. Great place to live. Lots of good shooting spots too. I know there are seveal members from Flag and the surrounding area.

    Gas gun reloading

Great thanks guys. I was planning on running a tighter neck tension to avoid crimping (I don't know how to crimp). Someone suggested .003 neck tension. I use Redding neck only and FL dies. Both bushing type with the buttons removed. My normal process when I FL size is neck only die down .004...

    Gas gun reloading

So I finally purchased a POF P308 and I need to start load development. I've been reloading for years but only for bolt guns. I know to FL resize but that's about it. Is there any other things I need to know that might be different? I'm going to start with Winchester brass and save my Lapua's...

Suppressors Gun Trust Laywer's comment on the ATF 41p proposed rule

This question has been haunting me. I have 7 form 4s that were sent in at the beginning of this month on my trust. I think there might be some legal precedent here is regards to ex post facto under The Constitution. I have not heard it discussed yet but here is what Wikipedia has on ex post...

    REPR Questions

Cool Scout thanks. I'm expecting 1 moa. I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility. If I need anything better I'll get out the bolt.

    REPR Questions

I was at my local dealer today and he has a new 16" REPR in stock that he wants to trade for my motorcycle. The bike is worth 3.5k so it's about an even trade. I really don't know much about this rifle. I've read a couple reviews but you know how they can be. It's usually someone who will try to...

Shoot me now!!!You have got to be kidding me!!!!

I want to look like a Marine. If that means looking like a bus driver so be it.

Shoot me now!!!You have got to be kidding me!!!!

What you can't see in that pic is Daly's cover is black and does not slope in the back. It's also very ornate. Dan Daly is a true American hero and Marine legend but them trying to tag his name to this cover is disgraceful. They are trying to sell Marines on it by using his name. We have been...

Shoot me now!!!You have got to be kidding me!!!!

As a Marine, I'm embarrassed by this. No way will I or my sons ever wear that cover. Yahoo Shine - Women's Lifestyle | Healthy Living and Fashion Blogs

Suppressors Form 4 - Signature required or not?

Same here. I have all of my cans on a trust and I signed every one of the form 4s. Why risk it when you know signing it will not cause an issue. I would not feel comfortable having an unsigned, stamped form 4 in my trust. I don't want the validity of my trust or transfers ever questioned.

    Shooting Mats

Same here. I use the TAB for everything but concrete at my local range. For that I have the midway. Both have held up well. I also use the TAB under my sleeping bag when I'm camping or hunting. I don't use a tent so it keeps my bag in good shape and it keeps me dry on damp ground.

Suppressors What's required when relocating, with NFA?

5320.20 applies to interstate moves. What about in state moves? I will be moving late next year but it will be the same county and state.

    Broken foot boot questions

I'm going to have to agree with Diver. After I left aviation I became a product rep for orthopedic implants (screws, plates etc.). A custom fit orthodic and high quality dress shoes should be better than boots. Also I've spent literally thousands of hours with the surgeons in the OR observing...

Suppressors Any AAC-SDN-6 quality issues you guys experienced?

My 762-SD has about a 4" low POI shift on a 20" factory HB .308. Like you it's not what I hoped for but mine has been very repeatable. When I slide the can on I dial up 3.75MOA on my scope and shoot. Accuracy has remained unchanged. I'm going to a 30P-1 when I get the extra cash.

Rifle Scopes Bad experience with SWFA, buyers beware

Re: Bad experience with SWFA, buyers beware If you don't give them a chance to fix the problem then it's YOUR problem not theirs. I've had little mistakes from vendors happen before and none of them were a big deal. I called, they fixed it, end of story. I've never had a problem with SWFA but...

    .17 HMR vs. 22 LR

Re: .17 HMR vs. 22 LR Pure shooting with no other considerations, 17 all the way. I love my 22s but my 17 is a laser out to 200 yards. My 22s are for plinking and the kids.
