    SOLD Spiritus Mk5 Chest Rig

Spiritus Systems complete chest rig for sale. Brand new condition, never left the house. Mk5 chassis, fat strap, waist strap, and CCS pouch in ranger green. I have KYWI inserts for both 3x 556 or 2x AICS that can be used for this rig, they can be added for a small additional price if buyer...

    Rifle Packs for All-Day Hunting?

Got the OG Stryker mounted on my frame, definitely liking it for walk in hunting. My rifle has a folding stock and a 16” barrel, 5” suppressor. Putting that, my tripod (RRS 14), and an XL pullout with insulation layers on the load shelf. All the misc stuff goes in the bag. Works great!

    Waterfowl pump action

I’ve had the misfortune of shooting a Nova a few times and absolutely despised Benelli’s bastardization of classic American pump design. They feel clunky and cheap to me. Perhaps this is more opinion than performance feedback, but it’s damned hard to be better than a Wingmaster.

    Rifle Packs for All-Day Hunting?

Tactical for me, but only because I got a deal on a used one. Never tried the lite but I’d be willing to bet it also does the trick.

    Rifle Packs for All-Day Hunting?

Yeah I guess so… guess it takes the place of needing a GrabIt like I’m doing. I still think the Stryker is better for day use because it’s a pain getting all the small stuff in and out of tubular wing pockets. My used OG Stryker gets here this Thursday, I will update when I get some field use.

    Rifle Packs for All-Day Hunting?

Yeah I guess so… guess it takes the place of needing a GrabIt like I’m doing. I still think the Stryker is going to be a little bit easier way to skin the day hunting cat, but think the Nomad type wing design is better if you need to scale up for much larger items.

Match Grade Ammo for Hunting Application

Caveat: All my experience with ELD’s has been in 6.5 Creedmoor. With that being said, in my guns the 140 ELD-M and the 143 ELD-X had the same zeroes and dope within two tenths out to 700 yards, which is farther than most hunters have any business shooting. They also both had comparable terminal...

    Rifle Packs for All-Day Hunting?

I am currently using a Kifaru Nomad on 26” tactical frame for the exact same thing. I put the rifle against the frame and hold the buttstock with a GrabIt. Then put other stuff in the wings and fold them over the rifle so it’s fully covered with the barrel sticking out the top. It works really...

Christensen Arms MPR Handguard Top Rail Solution

Also, I don’t know if they can be found anymore but I had a rail section sitting around from an XLR Evo (round rail) that fit like a glove on the MPR rail. Holes lined up, slight radius… looked like it was made for it. Edit: this one…. Link

    Foxtrot Mike FM-15 Bufferless Upper

I haven’t watched that video but I read the article. The only thing is he said it got really gassy when suppressed, and I’m 100% suppressed.

Short light suppressed whitetail hunting rifle

One other thing to think about with Cross is that you’re getting a chassis style butt stock that’s got a lot of adjustability. Don’t know if you value that for a hunting rifle or if that’s factored into your Tikka/Ruger cost comparison. I can’t live without the adjustment, even for a low round...

    Best Compact BA Pistol Backpack

24” is going to leave you with very few options, and none of them are going to be very incognito like a street backpack.

Short light suppressed whitetail hunting rifle

Sorry to hear about your bad luck (or too high standards.) I like mine, and have had zero complaints for a field/hunting rifle that gets carried a lot and shot a little.

Short light suppressed whitetail hunting rifle

I like my off the shelf Sig Cross with 16” 308 barrel for this role. 6.5 Creedmoor is fine too, but Cross was plug and play with shorty threaded barrel, plus sourcing ammo is both easier and cheaper these days.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Help me pick a new shotgun.

Love all the recommendations that have absolutely nothing to do with the OP’s stated goals or choices… Anyhow, I vote Beretta. They have gas shotgun design down to an art by now. I have been shooting the same 391 for a very long time.

Aero Precision Bolt Gun Teaser (Now newly announced SABR thread)

I hope this hits the market as a Tikka killer… much better than a factory 700 but still plenty cheaper than the $1K+ high end actions. You can’t get your hands on a cheap Tikka donor action like you used to. With any luck the Aero reputation for good equipment at good prices and good...
