Rifle Scopes FFP Scope for PSR

With the deals on the vortex razor II lately that would be my top choice. The new price was recently lowered to $2k and my guess is used prices will quickly fall into the 1600-1750 range. Many think this scope has a nice price/performance ratio.

    Group Buys Safe Group Buy

Not sure I can swing one at this time but the 5000 w/ free shipping would be very enticing... The SH logo would be great but the bottom dollar gets my vote.

    I’ll take this.

    Defiance action corrosion protection

That was my thought as well. However, with the bolt not being stainless I was wondering how many shooters leave it “in the white”.

    Defiance action corrosion protection

I’m in the process of collecting parts for a rifle build. I’d like to use the defiance tenacity action and leave it in stainless for both looks and cost. Is corrosion a problem for the bolt? Does it run smoother / more reliable with a dlc coating? Is there a reasonable place to send just the...

2014 JP Rifles Mammoth Sniper Challenge

This sounds like a great event. If I lived closer I'd try to get some pictures / video although I would have a hard time keeping up with the extreme teams.

Movie Theater The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug

I'm planning on hitting the theater this week to see this movie. Thanks for all the behind the scene info on the movie. Looks like everyone puts in a lot of hours to make something like this happen!

Gunsmithing Building a Win 70 pre 64 rifle...

Ken, thanks for the link. It looks like the rifle turned out great! I'm in the same predicament with this build in that I'm torn with going first class on this hunting rig (300wm) or just getting a new barrel and the action trued. I would need to sell a couple rifles to float the bill but I'm...

Gunsmithing Building a Win 70 pre 64 rifle...

Thanks for the correction on the pre-64 meaning. The rifle was purchased new in the 90's and I just wanted to make sure posters would realize an extractor cutout is needed when chambering. Thanks for the recommendation for Chad (long rifles). I've been following his Group Buy for 700 actions...

Gunsmithing Building a Win 70 pre 64 rifle...

My father has a 90's vintage Winchester 70 pre 64 that I would like to do a custom build on/with for his next birthday (10 months). From the research I've done online it looks like a lot of shops do not like to work on non Rem 700 receivers. Any recommendations for shops that would do a...

Budget binoculars, Nikon Monarch 5. 8x42 vs Bushnell Ultra Legend HD 8x42, any experiences

I have an older set of Nikon Monarch 10x42's. I'm not sure what "grade" they are but the quality is very good. I think they listed for ~$350 when I purchased them.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 Question/Comparison

Another option if you're starting to favor Dan Wesson is the CCO. It's a little smaller and lighter if you are going to use it as a carry gun.

    Suppressors barrel threading for Ark30

I have a ark30 in lockup but I had my barrels threaded by tbac and IMO they did a great job. I cannot think of a reason why the threads would need to be timed unless you are using another attachment that would require it.
