So with an Ak that is that heavily modified, and there are permanent modifications done, the base rifle itself loses value. Any of the add ons, I typically value at about 50% of new cost. How is it king? I’ve owned three of them and yes they are lightweight and can be smooth (though one of my mod 2 couldn’t shoot steel case). I’ve shoot out Lmt barrels and Id do the same to a KAC if it was my main.- Tonsofguns

You are correct that high quality parts are hard to find, shitty parts available. However, why run a kak sucker when you can an Lmt for half the price? It’s more modular and does not require a barrel change to be sent back to kak suckers or the need to use a ton of proprietary parts? I’m not...- Tonsofguns

I think the recoil is not any softer than an ar, it’s just different. It tends to recoil straight up versus ar recoil a bit to the side. That means you need to relearn how to manage the recoil properly if you’ve spent a lot of time shooting ars. Does it make a difference in real world...- Tonsofguns

i mean, the market is what the market is. In hindsight if i could go back 5 years ago I would have bought 20 arsenal 104fr and sgl31, and have them worth 4 times what they were worth then. That's better than stock market or real estate returns- Tonsofguns

Your m77 wasn’t reliable after a few thousand rounds? I can’t imagine that isn’t fixed with a small part change, but even that is way too early. Many of my aks have eaten 5k plus rounds and show little wear and def not unreliable.- Tonsofguns

Having one built here shortly in 5.45. Costing me around $3k with parts and labor to get it done by a either Troy or cw gunwerks. The problem with doing it yourself is you need a press, the problem with owning a press is the amount of space it takes up.- Tonsofguns
