New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I'd go for a 6mm creedmoor.
Very similar in performance to the .243, except has heavy for caliber factory loads and fast twist barrels standard.
Personally, I don't think most PRS scopes are suitable for hunting and vice versa, that said the delta stryker 3.5-21 and NF 2.5-20 could probably...
@Wyatt Barber hasn't been seen on the site since August. Mullerworks is not responding to phone calls or emails from a smith that has been using their barrels for a while and had a good relationship with Dan.
You have to correctly season stainless.
If you want lighter weight, a good carbon steel skillet is the answer.
Care and seasoning is the same as cast iron. The benefit is much lighter weight.
This is an excellent intro to carbon steel. About half the pricer of a debuyer or matfer...
All non stick pans are a repeat investment, that leech dangerous chemicals into your food, especially if you use high heat. There are several companies that make stainless clad pans, I've been using two different sets that were purchased in the late 1980's.
I also use cast iron and carbon...
TLDR.
I'll speak to the concept of common core, which was a standardized curriculum, so students moving from one school to another weren't lost.
The concept is sound, regrettably, they got idiots and government agents involved and turned it into a retard fest.
I was one of those kids that was...
Good to hear. They have gone dark with my gunsmith. Not answering e mail or phone calls.
I have one of their CF barrels, have been trying to get a .308 steel 10 twist M24 profile.
Depends on the deer.
A good 140 grain bullet is more than capable for any whitetail deer.
The tried and true speer 130 grain bullet has a well earned reputation from a 7x57 or 7-08.
Your fast twist would be too much for that though.
The 160 class are definitely a nice weight for the old RM, but...
Would you consider switching to 6 ARC?
I think you could get where you want to go by both reducing barrel weight and powder charge.
The reduced powder charge will slow the development of mirage.
I concur with poster above that you could forego the CF and just move to a light varmint/heavy magnum...
Let's see.
I've carried a commander size 1911, CZ83, S&W performance center 686+ snubbie, model 657, model 49, a colt model 1903 pocket hammerless. Currently, I'm favoring a smith 4" model 64.
Thanks for the info, do you think there is 600-800 dollars performance difference?
It's going on a future rifle build for a long range rifle for fun.
I'm just a cheap bastard by nature, but I do like good glass and positive adjustments.
Thanks, that is the type of input I'm looking for.
To the other respondents: thank you as well flr your input.
I prefer the Zeiss reticle, I like the less cluttered image.
I should have mentioned it before, but one of the reasons I'm looking at these two scopes is the massive adjustment range.
I...
