    You can defiantly reach 800 yards with that. I think 1:8 is better suited to the 168's but you can go that distance for sure. My 700 pushes the 175's at 2560 and I have taken it out to 1000 on steel.

    What are you shooting through 6.5 AR-10?

    I only shoot the 140 Hornady ELD-M through my JP so I cant speak to any others. I see an average group of .6 with mine. I have found it as low as 27.95 a box shipped with 0 shipping on a case or more. I don't know what your looking for price wise?

    Looking for a magnetic option to stabilize barrels inside a safe

    Why not use oak dowels to make up the distance? Dowel down the barrel no worries about hurting the barrel. Start with 1/4" dowel put in in a drill and sand it down to fit.
