    The 2 hour time limit is for the 1,000 yard range. The 300 yard range is a separate area. The website is a bit fuzzy, but as I recall it's a $30 daily rate for pistol/carbine bay and 300 yard range.

    If making a full day of it, I’d drive the extra 30 mins and pay the daily fee at Clinton House. No crowd, no crazies. Nice covered benches and plenty of room for prone or working on positional stuff. Access to pistol/carbine bays, etc.

    The real issue is that we even HAVE a Federal "disaster" funding process at all. I don't recall "paying for earthquake damage" being anywhere in the Constitution. This ought to be purely a State issue.

    Seems to me that if you have the ball head in-hand you'd give that a go for a couple hunts. If it works, keep it. If it sucks, change it.
