New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Our resident expert @C_Does has put together some excellent reviews on the very scopes you are asking about. I would encourage you to watch these as someone who reviews a large number of scopes will always have a broader perspective and more objective opinion than someone who owns one of the...
Thanks for the post. I’ve seen your data mostly relates to ARs but I’ve noticed a POI shift in my AT-X. I am curious what you’ve seen in other chassis guns? I assume the most immune platform would be a classic bedded bolt action receiver in a fiberglass stock but am curious what your experience...
I've heard of at least one scenario where a stainless brake galled onto a stainless barrel. I throw a little grease on the threads if it's not a suppressor mount. If it's for a suppressor then I do a drop of rocksett instead. I would not go over 10-15 ft/lbs of torque, I have been told that too...
Has anyone tested their MRAD for POI shift when changing bipod/tripod position? Scott at @Veracity alluded to shift occurring but I can’t find any specifics.
All my KAC stuff has been great. My SR25's have been phenomenally accurate. I see a lot of folks commenting here that don't seem to have any real world experience, being influenced by a pair of kids on youtube. Sad.
I'd suggest going through the process of setting your diopter a second time. Glassaholic has a good write up; https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/attachments/diopter-adjustment-pdf.7812388/
Haha, I think we are on the same page. The terminology does feel a bit silly. I will say that for folks like you and I, who have been doing this for a very long time, the point of entry for a pretty solid piece of glass feels much lower than it was 20 years ago. These modern scopes are...
In this case the "higher bravo" scopes, as you call them, outperformed the "alpha" scopes in some categories. So, while I see your point, it's becoming increasingly difficult to quantify what means what and the jargon all begins to feel quite juvenile.
If we're just talking perceived brand...
Bashing a ZCO is grounds for a ban? Not what I’d expect to be honest. Seems a bit soft. Regardless the man has proven his S&B problems were not fabricated and I for one appreciate the info. I had an issue with a S&B 5-25 a decade ago when they were considered the alpha and now look at their...
My issue here is that I have the NF P-VPS and only need the rifle. If I can find a used MK22 for around $7500 that would be ideal but as it is my best option might be to source an MRAD for $5200 and have it cerakoted.
On that note who is the best for re-finishing an MRAD to the proper MK22...
