New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Are you truly so stupid as to think the name of the company is "Seekens" and continue using it when the proper spelling has been demonstrated in numerous other posts?
Just wondering what method is most popular. Feel free to chime in with what's worked, what hasn't and what you'd recommend. Always looking to learn as I'm a bit "old school" myself.
That is the best solution and hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. Brown just recently, for the first time in years, got to a point where they have managed to eat through a lot of their back log and actually have several standard models in stock.
If, for whatever reason, you don't go with...
I would be interested in there is a solution out there; to add to my prior post I have used two different Forster dies (ordered years apart) as well as a Redding and the issue was there. To be clear it's not an enormous amount of effort required to open the bolt by any means, just slightly more...
I've had two 338 LM's that were chambered with PT&G reamers and they both do this with low pressure loads. I've just learned to live with it. In my case the first 2-4 firings aren't so bad, but firings 5+ it gets more noticeable. I primarily use Forster FL dies where I am bumping the shoulder...
Entirely subjective. thebolt likes the TE, I personally don't like flanged barrels so I'd go with something else. Obviously it's all personal taste. Wilson would probably tell you the Supergrades are the best.
There can definitely be some quirks. When I went to go setup my casefeeder for 44 I followed the little table in the manual for what "foot" to use; after struggling with it I realized there was a typo in the table. I've used friends 650's and found them to be excellent, but without owning one I...
I cannot comment on the 5-25 but several years ago I ordered an NXS 5.5-22 and a USO 3.2-17 TPAL at the same time. Both were mil/mil, and the USO actually showed up first. I love the USO for the first couple weeks and had second thoughts about ordering the NF (which had not arrived yet)...
My powder measure gets me very close; usually close enough that I can mentally calculate about how many kernels of powder I am short of the target weight. I throw in however many I need (usually 15 or less) and pick up the tray to reweigh. When using the scale it is immediately obvious that...
Jelrod-
You're a f*cking genius; I've been struggling with headspacing for a while now and finally slowed my stroke down to hold the case in the die for a good 2+ seconds. Problem solved; can't believe it was something so simple. I was being consistent before, just much too quick. Thank you.
My brother has a carry gun from them built on an aluminum Officer frame with a 4" slide and bull barrel. Damn thing outshoots my 5" Ed Brown in a ransom rest.
In a nutshell there has been some sloppy paperwork done over the past several years. They have been trying to deal with the ATF for some time now and after talking to a lawyer they were told they would lose their case. The decision was made to forfeit/surrender their FFL rather than have it...
