    Nuke & the BR?

    I made subtle tweaks mostly so the bolt catches more of the brass when chambering a round. I have mine in an XLR chassis and depending on what stock, bottom metal, chassis you are running you may or may not have to adjust your mags. Some slow motion of my combo.

    Old school Terrapin I have used down to -15 in Alaska with no issues. Newcon has range finders they claim are good to -40 below.

    Ultra 7 works great and I have used one hunting on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Any of the 5” cans are not hearing safe and you’ll regret that purchase. I use a 338 Ultra for hunting and competitions but you do have to be mindful of how long it is but is truly a one and done can for the most part.

    I’d take two if you do. Ran my .338 Ultra on my 6 BRa comp rifle this past year over my Ultra 7 in part cause of the reduction in noise and it did better on recoil, my only complaint was the length of the rifle when running a barricade.

    Nope. Just about perfect. I run mine mostly at 15 to 20 power and the reticle is perfect in that range and even at 35x I find it acceptable.

    If you can’t do the Mil-Xt then go for the Mil-C. It’s what I have swapped all my Nightforce scopes to for PRS/NRL use. I have tried the H59 and T3 and and kept the T3 the longest at about 6 months but was happy to trade it for a 7-35 with a Mil-C. With the 7-35 just a 20 MOA rail will be...

    Having played with various range finders in Alaska in very cold weather I can tell you all the sub $1000 models don’t work very well in it. Add in fog, rain, or snow and forget about it.     At 8K I don’t think you’ll see all that many rubes show up with one at a match. All it will take is a top ten shooter to bring one to a match and it’ll become a must have. Look at Hornady’s A-tip bullets. Plenty of people said no way! Not worth it, but look at how many are using them now.
