    I experienced the first glitch with my Leofoto LN-364c this weekend during the GAP Grind. One of the leg glides/stops broke allowing the leg to drop out when lossened for adjustment. This was one area of concern as a weak point that I had when I first got it and took it apart for inspection.

    You said that you don’t have a cover. It may be possible that mirage is screwing with you, it only takes a couple of rounds to get that hot. The way the shot pattern walked it’s way up, I would eliminate that from the equation before doing anything drastic.

    Sling help

    I use the Tab Gear PRS slings and love them for match use. I think the biathlon would be a bit much for a hunting only rifle. A sling with too many buckles on it will be noisy. Keep it simple.
