Super weird issues on my .300 Norma Mag reloads

I know you don't think so, but my bet is high primers. Good luck figuring this out.

    Foundation Gideon Hunting Stock

Cool. Everything I want, and I'm a huge Foundation fan. I have three on target rifles. The only thing holding me back for hunting rifles has been weight. How much does it weigh?

best bolt action .223 at any price

Best at any price? Custom or I’m going to say Blaser unless you want to shot heavy bullets and need a faster twist. Good luck.

    I have 1000 dollars (What should I buy )

Watch the classifieds here for a .308 custom rifle. Many are trading .308 for 6.5 CM, creating some great buys. Good luck.

    Hot barrel was hammering…why

Hot barrel or hot shooter? I think we know the cold bore shot is also often a cold shooter shot. The reverse could also be true.

    STRANGE BARREL QUESTION

Is the barrel heating up? Are you getting tired or dehydrated? Don't clean the barrel before your next range session and see how it does.

Anybody seen a gun wrap in person?

I have a hydro-dipped AR that has been knocked around for 20 years. It's still looking good. I'm not sure how much rust resistance it adds, but it did the job I wanted.

Blaser MOD. 93 LRS2 (any good?)

Barrels have an amazing life and you can find after market barrels. Not much else to wear out. R-93 parts fit the LRS. Factory barrels tend to have slow twists by today's standards. Resizing brass needs to be done carefully or you will get the dreader "clicker." Mine is the only rifle I own...

    Mag Release Fitting

I needed to shorten the catch release to use a WSM magazine in an MDT Timbr chassis/stock. I filed the catch down until the magazine locked in and would not come out pulling on the mag. It now drops free on recoil. I replaced the spring. Same problem. Is the catch too short or too long...

    KRG Bravo vs MDT Oryx

I have both. Both are good quality, value for money options. Between the two I see no material difference in weight, adjustability, feeding or quality. If I could only keep one, it would be the Oryx for no reason other than personal preference. For me, the Bravo is a poor imitation of...

    Quickload Not Displaying

QuickLOAD does not appear in Task Manager unless it's one of the Google Chrome windows running. When I click return after the small box appears, it disappears. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

    Quickload Not Displaying

I have been running QuickLOAD successfully for many years. Just today, I got a small white box saying QuickLOAD is already running. I cannot get it to display the usual data input page. I would appreciate someone checking if this is a general problem or unique to me. Thanks for the help.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

There may be some confusion here. I did have to file down the magazine catch release for the 300 WSM Accurate magazine to fit an MDT chassis. The problem was the catch release needed to be shorter, not longer.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

For me, the Accurate 300 WSM AICS mag is working fine in an original design CDG short action in 7 SAUM. It's a bit hard to load the magazine, but that's my only complaint. The Hawkins Hunter will not work with the original long action CDG, but it will work with the newer, lighter action with...

Lightweight, heavy cal hunting rifle thoughts?

The problem with the big magnums in light stocks is they exploit every weakness in your marksmanship technique even with a can or a brake. Far better to choose the right tool for the job. I’m not sure what the job is, but 338 NM is probably not the right answer. Having said all that, I...

Ok, so really - ES/SD with Hornady brass?

This. SD was cut in half when I sized, trimmed, and weight sorted. Weight does not correlate perfectly with volume, but it’s good enough. Better brass is a better solution, but weight sorting Hornady is a close second.
