Ruger RPR vs Tikka T3 Tac A1

RPR can use AICS, magpul, AR10 and m1a mags...

    Lightest Tikka chassis?

I don't have any MDT, I have magpul, accurate mag and AICS and only the metal mags work. They list this on their web site.

    Lightest Tikka chassis?

Weight is subjective, a well balanced 11 lb rifle can feel better than a poorly balanced 8 lb rifle. YMMV. I have a CTR in a bravo chassis and love it. Well balanced but I can't remember weight off the top of my head. Be advised it only accepts metal AICS mags, not that it matters these days...

Why Replace a Factory Bolt Shroud?

As stated above, I had an older T3 and had mine pop off a few times. My T3X is metal, and it's an aesthetic thing only, I've left mine factory. It will have no effect on function.

Ruger RPR vs Tikka T3 Tac A1

To be fair on the RPR, there is a lot more you can do in your garage with basic tools. Barrel change, handguard change, you've got a ton of customization choices. If you want something to make your own buy the RPR, just look for a Gen2. I haven't seen a gen 2 with a canted rail yet, not that...

    tikka t3x accuracy

Had a T3 Lite 308 a while back, shot 3/4 inch groups with 168 FGMM and 168 AMAX loads. Warmed up and opens up after 4th or 5th shots. My T3X CTR 6.5cm shoots 140 grain hornady amax around that, sometimes around 1/2 inch if I do my part. 143 ELD is consistently at 1/2 if I do my part.

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

*just doing a pic test* Tikka T3X CTR, Remington 700, Savage 10FCP-SR (everything was unloaded before someone has a heart attack)

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

Yeah, the only time I go much over 14-18x is when I'm punching paper at range for groupings. The vast majority of my optics are max of 16x anyway. I figured with any FFP scope with a large magnification range it would have to be thick(er) at full power, so like you said, I'll just drop down a...

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I've found a good price on a LRTSi 4.5-18x 44mm, and having looked at them today the glass was the best of the price range I was in, zero stop, 30mm so I can use stuff I already have, by all accounts I can find it tracks well. I like the reticle as well and it's much lighter (8+ ounces lighter...

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I've been interested in the SWFA as well as Athlon but not being able to see them in person makes it a hard sell.

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

Bushnell XTR II / LRTS or LRHS SWFA 5-20x50 HD (?) Athlon Cronus (?) After going and looking at a bunch I am surprised how heavy the Razor HD and DMR II are. Nice glass but veryyy heavy. Loved the Razor AMG but $$$. Decisions decisions

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I'll add it as well, I've got a list of like 9 scopes I need to put my hands on. The Razor HD is pretty high up on my list I just can't seem to put my hands on one to see it. I want to test a few on person to pick one... Going to Buds Gunshop here in TN when I finish lunch.

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I'm debating that, but I'm not super sold on the reticle. I should be able to make a decision today. I hope.

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

Went to bass pro today and they only had the NF SHV, viper pst gen 2, and a low mag Sig tango 4. I loved the reticle on the SHV but the viper appeared to be on par clarity wise and I preferred the higher magnification. I was content with around 20x. Hopefully Buds will have a better selection...

    Bergara b14 HMR

I've shot one in 6.5 a few times, my best friend got one. It's quite a shooter. The pro series is all stainless and has a trigger tech out the box. They are all very very smooth compared to a 700. Debated the HMR vs my tikka CTR. Ended up with CTR but having shot one recently I almost wish...

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

With my discount the Cronus and DMR2 are very close in price and well within my range. The Cronus has me rather interested... such a large mag range and people seem to have nothing but good to say and any bad things got fixed quick.

    Tikka T3X TAC A1

Tac A1 is a Tac-driver (haha) I shot one and was almost sold on it other than the proprietary mags as I already have a pile of AICS/KRG/Magpul/Ruger GSR mags. Ended up finding a CTR T3X 20 inch in 6.5 CM on sale for 900 and bought it with plans to go chassis later. Shot .75 MOA out the box...

NF SHV 4-14x50 F1 Sig Tango 4 4-16x44 (maybe Tango 6 depending $) Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50 DMR II 3.5-21x 50 SWFA 5-20x50 HD Athlon Cronus Still having trouble deciding, all of the above fall under my 1500 requirement, some only thanks to discounts but they still fit. I'm on vacation in...
