    Perhaps i misunderstood your question I thought you were determining max CBTO, or the distance to the lands. That measurement from base of cartridge to the ogive for any bullet will be the same. You will see a major difference in seating depth of the different style bullets.

    Yes, at least one of your measurements is incorrect. Load a dummy round using the 2.194 Cbto measurement, put it in the chamber and see if the bolt closes. I usually take measurements until I have four or five in a row all within a thousand of each other.

    I use both 4350 and RL 16 and started using the RL16 with a 22” barrel to gain some velocity. So picked up about 100fps while maintaining accuracy. I’m glad I tried it out. Have two loads worked up pushing 140vld’s to 2772 and 2795 FPS.

    I've used a few different types but for me the KAC anti cant level works the best. I'm able to maintain my cheek/firing position and remain on target and if needed using only eye moment glance down to confirm i'm level. They are small, out of the way and work.

    I got older too, thinned the heard, and restocked with less but much more expense. Remove the pad, insert a bore guide and clean like normal and for me that's about every 200-300 rounds.
