TRASOL or AB - Suppressor Offset/Correction

Well for $5.00 Trasol gives great solutions and yes they don't update it like they should but i'm still using it. But to answer the question Trasol has a Zero Setting option on the Equipment Entry tab that is easy to use and works. I use that option on my DTA A1 rifle, one barrel/caliber, the...

    .300WM Load development

I've just finished load development for my 300wm, 26" barrel, 210 VLD's , Norma brass, Fed Match Mag primers and using Retumbo. Nice low node at 74-75 gn and and 76.5gn gave me close to a one hole three shoot group. Ran it higher/ hotter and found another nice load but there were some signs of...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

The APA brakes mentioned are very nice and would be a great choice for a 300WM. I've got a new Crux suppressor brake I don't need so if you have an interest let me know, pm. On my 300Wm 26" barrel I'm running a thunderbeast suppressor brake which also works very well recoil wise but all of them...

Thanks Biffj, I'll take your advice and shit can this idea with the 308. However I really appreciate you taking time to offer a method for developing a subsonic load, that's some good info for the future. I appreciate everyone's response.

Thanks Hondo1 and SupressYourself, glad the Trail Boss was cheap. So what you guys are saying is that the lack of twist will not stabilize the bullet and it will tumble at some point, would you guess that the tumbling would be after it leaves the suppressor? I certainly don't want to screw up...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Not much happening on this thread at the moment so hoping it's an opportune time to ask for some advice. Was at the range and picked up some Trail Boss they had on sale and want to try my hand at loading some subsonic rounds for a DTA with a 22" 308 barrel, suppressed. I plan to use these for...

    300 WM Sizing Issue

Don't not what happened, the first response gave an error message so I wrote the second post.

    300 WM Sizing Issue

Yes Redding worked magic and ground my die to the casings I sent. The .517 above the shoulder is out of SAAMI spec, the Redding engineer said the chamber is on the large size. Redding customer service is outstanding, and what they did was more than I expected. So they made me a custom die...

    300 WM Sizing Issue

Yes, Redding confirmed my measurement of .517 above the belt. The engineer stated the chamber was on the large size, actually gave me the SAAMI spec and allowable deviation but wouldn't say it was out of spec. So it's outside of SAAMI spec. Redding also, as the engineer said, polished my die to...

Ditto on the TAB bag, however if I can't get setup exactly like i want with the bag alone i sometimes drop the monopod down about an inch onto the rear bag and use the combination. Sort of like having a bag extension when you need it.

    7mm RM questions

    180 VLD's, touching lands, 71gn Retumbo, 26" Broughton barrel, Fed Mag Match = 3,025 - 3050 fps @ 650 elev.

What is the cause of this?

Since these are belted cases and the op is using over 69gn of H1000 leads me to believe this is a magnum cartridge. Therefore most loading manuals recommend and are based on the use of magnum primers to achieve a quick and complete burn with these slow powders. Just something to consider, he...

What is the cause of this?

Curious as to why aren't you using magnum primers?

    Magnetospeed Adapter

You could make a sleeve that slides over the suppressor and also necks down some to mount the Sporter to. I've got it pictured in my head but like others to lazy to build something so for now I'll just keep strapping it on the suppressor for a few shots.

    Magnetospeed Adapter

Congrats, that looks like a good solution. I've got the Sporter model so needing to come up with a similar fix when shooting suppressed. I have strapped it to the suppressor and used the high setting, it works but you can't go to many rounds before things start to heat up.

    Desert Tech TRASOL Official Thread

In my case, running old IOS on both iPhone and pad, I could tap the Trasol icon and the screen would flash and and that was all that would happen. So I was forced to go the delete route and reinstall and I'm in the process of rebuilding the data base which is a pain but what I really hate is...

    Desert Tech TRASOL Official Thread

Well i thought i was clever not installing the latest IOS on my phone so i wouldn't have problems with Trasol like most others are experiencing and all has been going good. Well today at the range I hit the Trasol icon on the phone and guess what, poof, nothing. The program has disappeared...

    Rifle Scopes Kahles K624i Impressions

I'm enjoying SRPowah's 624i which has the left hand windage. At first I was concerned but the left hand windage just makes sense if you are a righty. I also have another 624i with the typical right windage adjustment but I like the lefty dial better. These are great scopes and especially nice...
