Burris Customer Services at its worst, please help/advise. (UPDATE: 09DEC23)

Maybe the shipping clerk keeps getting the "in" box confused with the "out" box. :ROFLMAO:

    Cheaper LVPO recommendations?

In general, optical quality is more important than a little more magnification. I would go with the P4Xi, between those two choices.

    Nightforce NX8, 2.5-20 x 50, 2nd focal plane, MOAR CF2

There is a picture of the reticle, with illumination on, on Nightforce's website. It appears that the horizontal, and vertical, dots all are illuminated; not just the center dot.

Anything better than PST Gen2 2-10x32 for under $1k?

If you decide on the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 2-10x32, here's a good deal.

Rifle Scopes Scope Recommendation - 1-8x LPVO

I am not aware of anything internal to the VCOG that makes it more tough. Externally, the integral mount and beefed-up housing just make sense that it is tougher than usual.

Rifle Scopes Scope Recommendation - 1-8x LPVO

The ATACR 1-8 is a great one. You mentioned, "Highly durable." I suspect that The Trijicon VCOG 1-8 is tough to beat, in that regard. It doesn't fit all of your criteria, but it's worth considering. Optically, the ATACR is probably better.

This is a good challenge! That Texas wind is no joke.

Rifle Scopes Quality SFP Hunting Scope

Here's a Leupold VX-5HD 2-10x42 , that's nice and light-weight, with a simple Duplex Reticle. This Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-12.5x42 would also be good, if you want no-battery powered illumination. Both of these scopes are more basic, without the, "Remote start and heated seats." :ROFLMAO:

Schmidt & Bender U.S. Service Center Experience

@Burdy Thank you for letting us know this. Dealing with a manufacturer that is not in the U.S. can be a pain. I'm glad your experience went smoothly.

    I want a good 5-25x scope or similar….

Here is a like new in box S&B PMII 5-25 for exactly $2,500.00. That's a great suggestion!

I think I want a red dot on my new pistol.

I had no idea how much I was shaking, until I added a red dot to a pistol. It was frustrating, and I was tempted to go back to iron sights. But, once I learned to relax, and to actually focus on the target, things improved dramatically. Yes, O.P., you should put a red dot on your pistol. I'm...

    Rifle Scopes 3-18 scope recommendations

As you can see, some people are not fans of the Tremor / Horus reticles because they're always more expensive than other reticles. Which is why you have to buy it used :)!

    Rifle Scopes 3-18 scope recommendations

We have a good prices on a both the Leupold Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 and the NF NX8 2.5-20x50. Between those two, I think the Leupold is optically better. But, you should also consider this lightly used ATACR 4-16x42 with the illuminated TREMOR3 that's only $62.50 over your budget.

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

Great review! I appreciate how you address the compromises in erector designs. The market seems to think that more is always better in magnification range.

Advise on SFP hunting scope at the $2500 price point.

When I think of high-end SFP hunting scopes, I think of Swarovski. But that's not what comes to mind for a target scope. The S&B you're considering has a ballistic turret setup that is very similar to Swarovski's. Here is a lightly used Swarovski 3-18x50 for a lot less money.

Best optic in the $2k range

If you decide to go the Mark 5HD 5-25 route, here's a lightly used one. It is non-illuminated with the TMR. It's well under $2K.

Rife Scope Recommendation (Vortex, Nightforce or Kahles)

If you want to excel at the prairie dog shooting, here's a good deal on a lightly used Kahles K318i. If you decide to go the LPVO route, The Razor G3 is a good value. But, any the three options you mentioned are very nice scopes.
