    Badger Ordnance COMM Opinion?

Badger is a very good option.

    Apex Edge 1-10x24

On some reticles, I don't care if it's daylight bright, because everything works fine during the day, without illumination. I'm not sure if this is one of those reticles.

Delta Optical Titanium HD Japanese line

Delta Optical, and Darn Fine Shot, are doing a good job. Building good reputations, from what I've observed.

    Glock and trijicon issue

I almost thought the last one I bought had decorative swirling, to make it look fancy. Fortunately, it fit.

Bolt tail no go and field gauge.

Interesting. Does a bolt tail wear out, or is this checking for a manufacturing defect?

GLX 2.5-10 vs Credo 2-10 vs PST Gen II vs PLXc 1-8 vs Razor Gen III 1-10 ?

The Vortex Viper PST Gen II FFP 3-15 fits many of your criteria. With the piggybacked red dot, I think you would be fine with 3X on the low end. Here's a good deal on one, from our shop.

    Optic Considerations/Choices for 16” AR - 223

Here is a good deal ($1,311.75 / lightly used) on the Eotech Vudu 1-10. Eotech does a really nice job at having a reticle within a reticle. What I mean by that is when this is on 1x, you see something similar to the famous Eotech circle / dot. But, when you zoom in the precision reticle becomes...

    Headshot....Argument for a LPVO???......real life example....

Having some magnification available is a really good idea. It also seems to be the norm. In a recent carbine course that I took (distances between 7 and 130 yards), everyone had an LPVO or a red dot / magnifier. The magnification really helped to quickly ensure you were shooting your target, not...

Who's got Memorial Day sales going on in the rifle scope world?

We're offering free shipping. It'll be active in a couple hours.

You guys have me rethinking my magnification desires

Scopes with less magnification offer the benefit of being smaller, lighter, and cheaper. However, I think it's a good idea to have a little more magnification than you think you will need. Being in the middle of a scope mag range does seem to work better than maxing out the magnification.

    Spotting scope with reticle advice

Here's a good deal on a Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85, that also comes with the 22x (MRAD) Reticle Eyepiece.

Scope Gurus: why don't scope makers have levels on their reticles?

This isn't exactly what @Milf Dots is talking about, but, I do think it is kind of helpful how Sig has the line etched on the outside of some of their scopes. They call it a, "Laser engraved mounting line to align riflescope to scope rings."

Zeiss Flip-Up and Fold-Flat Pro Lens Covers

The spare battery and the on-board torx wrench are both good ideas.

    Sighting in EXPS and G45

Is the EXPS nice and snug? Maybe it's moving under recoil?

    Sighting in EXPS and G45

@Convex I think your suspicion is correct, and you're asking the right question. Perhaps the operator nut is loose. :)

    Interesting info on 357 Mag

@wvfarrier , thanks for posting that. It's in interesting read, and a nice reminder of what can be done with the .357 Magnum.

What part of the rifle do you level when mounting a Scope - does it matter?

The Badger Ordnance Dead Level seems like a good solution (as @Nik H suggested). Getting the rifle perfectly vertical, especially if you're trying to do it on a workbench, is probably not that easy, or reproducible. Taking that variable out of the equation seems like a logical solution.

Binoculars hinges won’t bend. Need advice.

;)Just call it a double-monocular. I think you're on the right track with the oil. The center hinge, on binoculars, is usually pretty sturdy. They'll probably be OK, and come loose, if you are pretty forceful.

    Sordin Headsets

I was a forward observer in The USMC, and we were quite used to talking on the radio while loud things were happening around us. However, we were once forced to be in the same observation post as a .50 Cal Barrett, and it was an entirely new ballgame. We had to get up and scramble / walk down...
