    PTG Stealth DBM

    I just put one on my Howa 1500 in a B&C stock. It fit better in the stock inlet than the factory Howa bottom metal did. After a little work on the box mag stop tab with a drimmel it is gtg. I am very happy with it. The price just makes it that much sweeter.

    I have both of these scopes and love them both, but for your intended use I would go with the 6.5-20 just for the extra magnification.

    Boyd stock for a howa s/a?

    I had to do a lot of maching on the Bell and Carlson I recently got for a Howa 1500 short action. I would just keep that in mind in case you don't have the tools or know how because it might not be a drop in deal.

    Gunsmithing HOWA ATI removable mag kit

    I didn't have time to take any pictures, but the PTG that I linked to above is very good quality, and it dropped right into my B&C A2. I was about to order one of the plastic kits until I stumbled across this one, and I am glad I went ahead and ordered it instead.

    I just put together a heavy barrel Howa 1500 with a Bell and Carlson stock, Vortex Viper HS-T scope, Talley 20 moa rail and TPS rings for less than $1500, and so far I am very happy with it. If you want to PM me I will tell you where you can get a good deal on a Howa barreled action.
