New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!

Re: painting firearms
I would go with just the Alumahyde. If you plan on coating more guns in the future just get a cheap HVLP gun and use duracoat. Its pretty easy to apply and is durable. The key to any of the coatings from paint to cerakote is prep. Make sure you degrease thoroughly...

I'm new at reloading and was wondering if anyone has loaded any 5.56mm brass that has LC 09 on the back with a small circle with 4 dots in it. I have heard that the primers are not pressed in and maybe they can't be reloaded. Any...
Re: Need to refinish a S.S. 1911 frame to black
You could use dura coat if your going to do it yourself. I just did my 1911 all matte black and it turned out great.
Re: Material for a oven
I have an old electric smoker that I use. It will go from 100-250 degrees. So far I have had good luck with it and you can find some used ones for around a hundred bucks. Works great for pistols and you can get most rifles in the one I have.
