I am having the same done. Turn down a Marksman as well. I realized the Medium Palma may be a tad bit on the thin side for what i want to do. I plan on hanging a can off the end and could use the extra stiffness/material.

Just ordered myself a Bugnut Bartlien switch barrel in 260 Rem 26" Medium Palma. And now I wait... Current setup is 20" and feel that I need an additional 6" (but who doesn't right?) to get velocities that will get me well past 1000 yds...

If the eye relief works for you comfortably in current position and everything else works without interference or touching barrel then yes keep it. If eye relief doesn't work you mar have to go taller.

Maybe the stock helps, but I think it is the 2 stage trigger that helps more. But i could be wrong.

No. You will have to get a Timney or wait for KRG to come out with their 2 stage. Or get a SAKO TRG trigger if money is no object. Plenty of aftermarket stocks that adjust. Best bang for buck IMO is KRG Bravo. I have a black one that is lightly used that I'd like to sell/trade for a green one.

I was an early adopter and wish I had waited for the Sako green. Other than that, I love the Bravo chassis. I can use the TRG bipod which is second only to the Elite Iron Revolution bipod IMO.

After having my CTR in a Bravo stock and using the AICS mags, I would swap out to a Bravo that accepted CTR mags in a NY minute. CTR/TRG mags are far nicer to use than AICS. I'm constantly feeding rounds into mag and out the back side of AICS mag and that gets old.

    Need a new .308

Another excellent choice. If you reload, give consideration to shooting good brass like Lapua or Alpha Munitions. I've been shooting Lapua 155 grain Scenar-L at about 2900fps from my Sako with a 26" barrel.

    Need a new .308

Having had a bad experience with a personal Remington 700 and glaring 870 barrel quality issues when I sold guns, I'm leery of Remington QC in general. The reputation of Tikkas not needing to be trued when being rebarreled as opposed to Remington actions that often need a little touch up makes...

Not exactly. CTR does not have the 2 stage trigger like the Tac A1

    Need a new .308

My advice is to stay away from Remington. QC these days is questionable. Tikka for off the shelf accuracy and quality. Then get a KRG Bravo chassis or other KRG stock if the Bravo doesn't float your boat. Have you looked at Criterion drop in barrels for the Savage? My friend will likely do that...

I love the rendering. Add some crosshatching on the top and rear of bolt and voila!

Is anyone aware of a bolt shroud that is shaped like the one on a TRG 22? I'm in the mood to replace the plastic one, but most of the ones out there don't do anything for me aesthetically speaking.

KRG Bravo for CTR that can take TRG/CTR mags?

I would sell my Bravo for a CTR/TRG Bravo the minute they are available. TRG mags are WAY better than AICS mags IMO, easier to load, smoother and shorter. If only the price of them would come down.
