    Accuracy International Picture Thread

That bottom roll pin looks like it’s a tad above. The way I check them, I run a straight edge length wise of bolt. If any snag, it’ll definitely cause issues. Also if you have any paint in the bolt stop, it’ll create a friction on bolt.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Can you send pic of the front of bolt? Can you feel any of the roll pins on the bolt head? If one is protruding just a bit it’ll cause all kind of issues

    Stuck case in AI

If memory serves correct, once the barrel starts to unscrew the head should come with it, and stuck case.

    Stuck case in AI

Can do both, with or without The pins are what hold the head in, and tight fit. Once the pins are weak, they can shear or walk out, letting the head come off. I’ve had bolts that by simply removing the pins, the epoxy is worn enough that the head comes right off. I’ve had others that I need to...

AXSR Extraction / Stiff Bolt Unlock Question

I’m gonna say something in your firing pin is binding. It could be the front of the pin is contacting the inside bolt head, either adjustment or a burr somewhere. I’m gonna assume your buddies FP assembly was same as yours, small for small or large pin and large pin? If you measure protrusion...

AXSR Extraction / Stiff Bolt Unlock Question

Was the rifle new? If not, any mods? got confused in the talk But with dry fire, you’re having an issue with heavy bolt lift? When you live fire it, does it have the same issue? Also try putting the safety on half, I’m guessing it opens and closed normally, almost with no effort. On the...

    AXSA or AXMC ??

stick with AX SA, can shoot 223, can shoot all other .472 bolt faces and if you wanna step up to 338/300wsm…you win again I sold my AXMC, barrels were a pain, cause blanks weren’t commonly available. BR didn’t feed well. And well…I couldn’t shoot 223 🙂

Accurate Mag nosedive issues in AT-X in .223

Get some very fine sandpaper, sand the sides or follower to smooth it out. I’m gonna guess the ammo isn’t too long and binding on the front of plastic housing? I run this mags in my 223 conversion without issue.

    Who's built a 7-.300 PRC?

Since you have a 300wsm, stepping up into a 338-300wsm is easy. I’m having a barrel spun for my AX short action. Chunking 250’s at 2700 seems fun 🙂 I know Red Beards Gun Works had built a few 7-300prc, @morganlamprecht might be able to tell you about his.

    AI AT to 6mm

I’ve been running HRD mags in mine when my stock springs failed(to many rounds). I’ve gone through about 4 barrels with HRD mags without a hiccup or mod. I run a version of 6BRA. I ran 6BR for a barrel, no issues with that either. 6creed is the easy button, but start buyin barrels, it’s a...

6.5 CM throat erosion and rebarrel

If the barrel shoots, keep winning matches. But a 6.5 creed with 2500 or 3500rds is worn out. Mr Green a well known person that makes barrels has tested this in the factory a few times. They have a new material that from what I understand will up the barrel life. But as I said before, don’t...
