    44 Magnum ammo question.

A million interweb experts have and will argue that question till the end of time. Pick whichever shoots better and rock on… I’ve killed deer with bullets ranging from 180-320gr out of 44s and none of the deer complained that the bullet was too light or too heavy.

    Bolt action pistol

Had a pretty bad XP addiction years back, think I’m down to 6 now…. Mark Penrod did the metal work on this 243AI for me. It’ll run a 105 Amax at 3020 into itty bitty groups with boring regularity. …….and it’s not just a range queen. Broke her cherry on this vermin… As has already been...

    Where is the 308 PRC?

Awwww, show me on your blow up doll where that evil belted magnum touched you…. Obsolete, yep can’t argue that. Could Remington have revived it during the 6.5 hysteria craze, possibly had they not been floundering. No incentive for anyone else to champion it with the Remington name attached.

Maggie’s THE "NOM NOM NOM" THREAD

That picture triggered a flash back from my youth. Was down at US Steel in Birmingham checking out the melt shop for a refractory contractor I was working for. Furnace had a burn thru which resulted in a 32 hour shift to get it repaired. What do you do after that? Naturally, head to the bar…...

    Tuners and short, stout barrels….

Did a cursory search and came up empty… Is there a point in rifle barrel profile and length where a tuner won’t function? Having a 20” Krieger HV profile 6BR put together. Is there any point in trying a tuner?

Maggie’s Machining and woodworking for guns

Time to breath a little life back into this thread…. Found this BuckMark Unlimited Silhouette at an auction here in podunk Indiana last weekend. Someone had removed the original forend and replaced it with this piece of kindling…. A new forend was in order. Started with a chunk of straight...

    Maggie’s What's Your View II

LMAO…….🤣 A clue you might be in the hood when you have to put your condensing unit on a pedestal and wrap it in a rebar cage to keep the natives at bay….. 3 of the 17 bullets we’ve found so far on the roof of the school we’re working at in beautiful East Chicago, Indiana…..

    Alpha 6br Norma

Went ahead and picked up a box of Alpha 6br brass. Packaging is nice. Applying the eyechrometer reveals nice consistent flash holes and primer pockets. I then pulled 50 random new blue box Lapua and 50 of the Alpha and weighed them. Gotta admit I was surprised the Lapua showed such a large...
