Its answered in this thread several times, The .2962 is the better as you have to clean the run out off the neck. it yields more consistent neck tension and straighter alignment with the throat.
Its a bigger pain to prep brass but you only have to do it right once!!

Guys, read the whole thread. This is a super well made scope. Its as tough as the top of the line $3500 scopes out there. In fact being that I have seen alot of the top stuff crap out it may be tougher...
I dont think its going to be a big difference, Jeff Hoffman did alot of testing at Black hills on the ramshot powders and the Temp stability is good when compared to other ball powders.
All the scopes in this line will have this knob. I dought there is a change of them changing the others as they have a ton or travel and need more knob height.
