New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I have 3 Minox 3-15X50 MR2 only just seen the MR4’s after reading this thread. Don’t thing the 3-15 ever came with the MR4. The only scopes I would replace them with would be a Tangent Theta 3-15X50 which is the same thing on a 30mm tube. I just can’t justify the cost.
Genuinely if that was...
After doing a course at Sig with an instructor who was former FBI sniper I would take anything they teach with a pinch of salt. I was far from impressed to be honest.
Zero stops make perfect sense.
All sorted now thank you. I managed to find the operating instructions and from your pointed figured out what I was doing wrong.
Should anyone else need the instructions to the kestrel...
Thank you for taking the time to use Gordon’s. At the time I got the crazy results on my brass; soot around the rim only, I had some help from some guys in the U.K. according to QL the viht figures were vastly underrated. I changed to RS62 and was in between chronos when I found the sub half...
87gr V-max
I’ve tried N150 I got to top viht load with poor obturation
RS62 42.7gr only 2700fps grea lt accurate load but I was hoping to get 3000fps
My barrel is a bit longer than 18” allowed on the shorty thread… but still short for a 6mm creedmoor
Let’s be honest. If you are in Europe buy a European scope such as a Schmidt and Bender, Zeiss or Swarovski. The light transmission will be far better. Zero an inch high and you will be in the kill zone of a fox or roe deer. You won’t need to worry about holding or dialing. A centre fire is very...
Japanese glass would be better I believe. I’ve got three. Bushnell Elites 3-12X44 LRHS 4.5-18X44 LRHSi and just delivery of a 1-6.5X24 ET1624sl second focal plane BTR-2 illuminated reticle. For £180 posted I had to give it a go. The glass is brilliant and will be put on an air rifle for my...
I would be happy with a non tree reticle. Once that tree is illuminated at dusk seeing the target will be tough. It would be a great multi purpose scope. Shame the glass won’t be up to scratch with European glass like Swarovski, Schmidt and Bender or Zeiss.
Always insist on the end of the barrel being cut off and coming with the rifle. That way the smith is in no doubt what make the barrel is.
Mixing up a barrel is not great though.
What I don’t get is, how can a FFP optic’s reticle be any use at the lower end of the mag range. If I need to hold off it will be at a distance greater 100/200 even 300 and I’ll be winding my mag up probably to max at 12 power which isn’t a lot so in SFP the graduations will be true. Well that’s...
do you really need a 10 round AW magazine for hunting?
If not then I would go with a Sako 90.
Double stack magazine
60 degree bolt throw
Built in picatinny rail
Double ejection plunger
Bolt locks closed when safely engaged
Carbon fibre stick options.
