New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I’ve been using federal gold medal match. 167 grain I believe. Just put a trigger tech special in it. Having gotten a chance to take it to the range with the trigger tech yet though.
Well,... the last time I took it out I managed a 5 shot group at a hundred yards about the size of a dime. Took it out of my safe today to clean it. Just happened to look into the muzzle end with a flash light and noticed that little nick right at the end of the rifling. It could have been there...
Noticed this while cleaning today. Will this mess with my accuracy? I’ve only been to the range a hand full of times. This is a brand new rifle. Thoughts?
It’s looking like everyone favors the little Bastard and the Area 419. They both seem very identical. Running suppressed is out for me because I live in the socialist state of CA.
So at some point in the very near future I am going to be buying a new scope. I am currently looking at the Vortex razor HD gen 2 because of the features and the warrenty.
I’m sitting here asking myself “Is a 2k + scope really that much better than a quality 1k scope?” What am I paying for to...
I’m running a Remington 700 5R Milspec in 308. So far I’ve shot off a bench only with a Harris bipod and a rear bag at 100 yards. Rifle seems to jump quite a bit after I send one down range. I’m trying to put my body weight into the rifle as I squeeze. Any other tips on how to manage recoil???
It shoots pretty well. I will be honest though, I hav me only shot it a handful of times and with a grain that was to light for the 1/10 twist so my groups were a little wider than they should have been BUT it was consistent.
That’s what I’ve been reading. Some guys out in comps are now running trigger tech because their high end go to triggers are tapping out because of dust and debris.
I actually have a Geissele and it’s a beautiful trigger. I can’t seem to find a whole lot of people running that particular trigger online that are reviewing it. Everyone seems to like the two I mentioned. I do like the idea of a trigger being able to do both though...
