    My new Savage rifle

    I know it doesn't compare to most of the rifles on this site but I can't wait to get it to the range. Savage 10FCP .308 with McMillan stock, Badger Ordnance 20moa base and Badger rings. Scope is Nightforce SHV F1 4-14x50. Now if someone could recommend a good cheek riser.

    I'm leaning towards the Howa 1500 20" heavy barrel with the Hogue stock. My only hang up is that by reading some threads here is that a 1:9 twist is not as desirable as a 1:8 to stabalize 77gr bullets. The Rem 700 SPS also has a 1:9 twist I believe. I've looked at the Tikka T3x, while very nice...

    I guess i failed to mention i canceled the Howa 1500 in 308 and ordered the Howa 1500 heavy bbl 24" 6.5CM barreled action in FDE. I also ordered the Bell & Carlson competition stock for it. I should have it all today. I'll post a pic later.
