New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
LOP is 13”. I wanted it a bit more compact for carrying as well as easy to pull up for a quick shot without getting it snagged when wearing heavy warm clothing. 7/16x28 thread (weird Kimber factory thread). I do have an adapter to 5/8x24 and I also have a custom CB direct thread for a TBAC...
This is one I’ll look back on and regret selling. So if I don’t get my asking price, I’ll happily keep it. What I have is a Kimber Adirondack 7mm-08 with an 18” barrel. Round count is under 200 rounds. It is bedded in an MPI Microlite Mountain stock. The stock was primed and I painted it myself...
Selling an Innotel RT80C and Leofoto MA30. ARCA and picatinny can clamp into the ballhead. Have used this setup to support 12-15lb rifles easily. 98% of use was for coyote hunting. It is used, but not abused. Has some minor blemishes and some dust. $250 shipped.
I debated this exact thing and went for the 6 Creed. I don’t have actual data but the reading I did was that the 6 creed was just a little bit faster with equal weight bullets. Likewise, the 22 Creed had a higher BC bullet when using equal weight bullets. Thus, they negated any real world...
What parts are you having issues sourcing? When I google search “TC Encore parts” I’m seeing parts available from various venders. But then again, I’m also not sending my Encores off for trigger jobs. I just do the basic spring kits and have found those to be sufficient. And they’re easily...
I think you’ll just have to find a used one. The price has gone up on them the last couple years so expect to pay a little more than previous years. Otherwise, nothin really concerning about buying one.
Spot on, you’re absolutely right. The heavy for caliber bullets are fun, but typically the mid weight bullets with a deep hollow point and soft cast lead are much better for hunting.
To be honest I never did much with the 730’s. I shot a steel plate behind my house and it totally knocked it off the stand 😂 otherwise I never hunted with it. I’m using a Form 1 suppressor to similar specs as the Sico Hybrid.

This isn’t my post and to be completely honest, I don’t even remember what powder I used. This may be something to play with but I think you’ll be a ways off on stabilizing it out of a 1:20. In the last few years I picked up...
This was my “go to” rifle for whitetails once upon a time. Encore with 16.5” 45/70 with a 1:10 twist barrel. It would stabilize 730gr bullets. Pictured is one before it was fully seated. My actual bullet of choice was a 385gr cast deep hollow point shooting ~950fps.
