    6mm ARC Bolt Gun Loadings

*** Disclaimer, the information below works in my rifle and in my set-up. Work up safely and always follow manufacture published load data *** Cold windy day for a ladder but load dev is a must for a spring road trip. 6 ARC, Criterion Barrel 26", MTU contour, 45 rounds through the barrel before...

    CZ457 Dry Firing Idea

The yellow dry wall anchors work well and can be loaded into the magazine to practice positionals (ie: not put pressure on the magazine) and cycling the action (ie: CZs likes to be cycled with some oomph).

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Nice info and great groups. Any crunching with the 28.6 gr (I realize that you have a longer free bore)? Thanks in advance

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Pretty sure Rob's 6 ARC is a 22" Savage barreled action with an upgraded MDT stock/chassis. The other temperature less-sensitive powder I wanted to try is 8202 XBR but can't find any online. 3 shot groups and one 5 shot group from my scope zero and barrel break in. It's showing some potential.

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Thanks for posting. I'm about to go through the same load dev with Staball Match. Any crunch with 29.0 gr of Staball? Any crunch with 28.5 gr of Varget? Curious to see how your barrel breaks in. Guessing that 2825-2835 fps with a 105 gr bullet and Varget is very obtainable. As long as it...

    New CZ 457 24" 1.180 Match Barrel from L3i

I think that there are two generations of KRG Bravos. The first gen accepted up to 1.2” and the newer gen up to 1”. Someone check me on that as i cannot find the old spec sheet on their page. I’ll know soon enough when I try to install a 1.18” in my Gen 1 KRG Bravo. YMMV and happy shooting

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Great info and thanks for sharing. Can't argue with those groups! My barrel came in last week, will have to get it installed and tested soon. 26" criterion from North land shooters supply. Planning to load dev with Staball Match. Cheers

Getting started in rimfire PRS - What rife?

Good recs here. One man's opinion: for reliable mag feeding and Lego like customization, I'd go with the cheapest iron sight CZ457 and get a Modacam barrel and a stock/chassis of your choice. You can go from a 5 lb squirrel gun to a full up NRL22 setup by slapping on a scope, barrel, and...

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

Beautiful set up. What barrel (length, twist, maker) and what speed are you getting out of H4895? Thank s

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Thanks for sharing... I'm going to contact Northland shooter's supply to check what chamber specs they are using and confirm the measurement with a Hornady Comparitor when the barrel is delivered. I was able to dig up another post in the Hide that talks about 6ARC bolt gun loads. Link below...

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Pure gold here, thanks for sharing. Love the Alpha brass in 6.5 CM. Hoping that the OCD primer pocket helps with the brass life. I'll be testing a 26" Criterion barrel and loading up a ladder with Staball Match powder and CFE 223 and Hornady 105 HPBT. Hoping that my slightly lighter bullet and...

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

Update: Used a kinetic bullet puller to examine the powder and took measurements. Hornady 6 ARC Black 105 gr | Hornady 6 ARC Match ELD-M 108 gr Total wt 254.8 gr | 258.2...

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

From Hornady’s official intro video of 6 Arc. Looks very similar to CFE223/LeverEvo/Staball Match. I’ll have to weigh and shoot the box ammo next to the same charge of Staball Match hand loads and possibly do a temp sensitivity test along side it.

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

There was a guy reloading rimfire, but he is a false prophet as he clearly states that reloading 22 LR is not a good use of time or resources. Blasphemer! He knows that he can make it shoot better than lot tested ammo.

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

Take a look at this poor-coholic mess… a tac-tableau, because it makes it sound French and fancy. Why buy a $100 gizmo that sits on top of an Amazon special tripod when you can buy a $8 plastic cutting board from Walmart, cut it in half, drill 2 holes for a spare picatinny rail section, then...

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

Agree, black line is geared towards the AR platforms, but even the 108gr Match has AR-15 platform in the product description. Typically, gas gun pressures maxes out at 50k psi and bolt guns go higher to 62k psi. So if the Hornady box ammo is designed to top out at 50k psi with listed 24" barrel...

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

Defender32 Good info, thank you. I've read that Hornady 108gr ELD-M Match and 105gr Black ammo exceed their listed bolt gun data. I'm sure that they load with a margin of safety since there is a good chance that someone will use it in a converted AR-15 setup. Anyone aware of what powder the...

    1. Double door handles next to each other suggests suicide door setup 2. Honda rims or at least center cap, so yay front wheel burnouts 🤪 3. RWD setup from the exhaust pipes, but the only recent RWD Hondas that I am aware of are the S2000 or the NSX in foreign markets, but this door panel and...
