    I agree: 3.5mm stereo plug. You can get a basic OEM plug and put it together, solder your connections and have a functioning switch. But it might be hard to make it water proof and rugged. YOur best bet is to find a donor cord, cut the plug off and make your connections somewhere in line...

    It looks like either a Single Pole/Double Throw switch. Or a Single pole/Single throw switch. You could easily make up your own if you found the pressure pad that you wanted to use. A little soldering and shrink tube would be required.
