    Yes. If it returns a value for a shot you can trust it. The more bars gets you more data you get at longer ranges. On mine 2 bars and I'm good but I will adjust to try to get 3 or better if I'm not feeling lazy that day.

    Same strategy has worked for me; eliminate the grubs -> moles move on. I spray my lawn with Imadacloprid which is generic Merit, Adonis etc. I get it from Amazon brand name Criterion 75WSP. The stuff also works for lots of other pests. Fun fact: its very similar to nicotine.
