    tacom structured barrel

    Hilarious! And kinda true

    tacom structured barrel

Fair enough. Maybe times are changing, many years ago I used to see a lot of very superstitious shooters. The short range BR crowd was the worse. It was probably the mid 20-teens when I met John and saw his stuff. I really haven't paid any attention to them until this thread cropped up.

    tacom structured barrel

Don't take it that I'm attacking you. I'm simply asking if anyone has actually tested it. I honestly don't care if these barrels are a success or failure. I am just interested in what they actually do or do not do. I have been around and competed in many different precision shooting...

    tacom structured barrel

I am very familiar with it. What I'm saying is have you seen any testing or reporting from people who have actually tried the barrels. I haven't yet. That's all I'm saying / asking. It's certainly not proven, but from what I have seen it's not disproven either.

    tacom structured barrel

Sure, but what I'm saying is where is the proof that their claims are not true? Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not seeing anyone who is shooting their barrels and saying they don't perform as advertised. From what I see is just people saying it can't happen / doesn't work that way without...

    SOLD Remington 40-xb. 308

I bought one of these when they first came out, it was an absolute hammer!! Killer rifle for the $$. Not that it matters but it's strange that it is a 12 twist, mine was an 11 I think...

    tacom structured barrel

I have no skin in this game, I do not know John Baker, nor do I have anything to do with TACOM HQ. I have met him, looked at several of his builds, and briefly shot one of his barrels, but nothing to begin to form any opinion at all. John and I think it was his son if I remember correctly were...

Scope advice for NRL22 competition rifle

Yes, I know. I was just saying the MK4 HD is an option that would work for his needs. According to Leupold (as I understand it) it is the same scope less some lens coating that was a Mil requirement. But maybe it’s not nearly as nice as the MK5…

Will carbon fiber rimfire barrels do well in competition?

From what you have seen do all your Vudoo actions time and headspace the same?

Scope advice for NRL22 competition rifle

The MK 4HD corrects down to 25 yards I believe.

    Anschutz 1727 APR

In my opinion this is how it should have always been, the only time 1/2”-5/8” muzzle threads are acceptable are for pencil thin barrels. But that is just like my opinion man…

    Anschutz 1727 APR

M18X1.0 muzzle threads… While I truly believe that is a superior thread size for suppressors (especially for rimfire applications), it’s a tough sell here in the US. Maybe the ones imported here will be 1/2X28, but I didn’t see that anywhere.

Sourcing and / or building a battery pack

A little off subject for the Hide, but I know there is a depth of knowledge here. I need to build a battery pack for a headlamp. Here are the specific battery requirements: 18.5v li-ion 4300mah I know where to source the connector for the headlamp & I can wire and solder very well. I do a lot...

    Knife sharpening for dummies

I am very proficient with a flat stone (of which I have several different kinds), but the least 5-6 years I have been using a Wicked Edge and really like it. It is very quick to set up & is repeatable. It does an excellent job. I have used the original Lanskey and hated it, they were too flimsy...

    SOLD Leupold Mark 4HD 6-24x52 PR2-MIL

I will take this scope based on our PMs

Leupold mark 5 AND 4 HD vs NF (Specifically pr2 vs mil xt) Why?

Agreed, they all fail. Leupold builds a great scope. The original MK4 was a tough and reliable scope. If you look at how many the Army had and how long they were in service and how many were on the Barrett, it’s impressive. Hell, think about all the Leupold’s that had permanent residence at the...

    William Buck Memorial Postal Matches

Just threw an inexpensive scope on an inexpensive rifle, zeroed it and figured I would shoot a 6X5. Zastava MP22 and a Bushnell 2-7 AR 22 I put a Harris bipod and shot a not so great lot of Center X at 50 yards prone. This combination isn't exactly a precision rifle. Conditions were a little...
