    Mine loved the 55 grain loads and they seem to be a sweet spot for both the 8 and 12 twist. Hand loads were very successful at mag length with 69 tmk and single feeding 75 eldm.

    Thanks boss. Yeah, kinda. I have ordered the Hi-Tec carbon stock so it will be a few weeks before it's laid up and on the way. I'll sell off the ESS but it's so comfortable to shoot so I'll miss it but I will certainly not be in need of the recoil management aspect with a suppressed 6.5...

    Hi Colin, I had a varmint with a rail. There is no real need for one other than the convenience of mounting as you're not shooting out to need extra MOA for dialing. I would look at Talley rings also as I have used them and they're great.

    I would go Midas tac as an Ares BTR owner. The glass gets a little dark at full mag (27) and is perfect at 24 so I’d hazard a guess that the TAC will be just fine at full mag.

    Yeah I hear ya. I want ffp for that reason. I was just impressed with the eye relief on the nightforce and it’s an old model that I had. I’m actually considering the Cronus btr now.... I know the turrets are not amazing but the glass seems good for the cash.
