Rifle Scopes ARMS rings on SPRs.

Been using ARMS #35 Track Mounting on a MK12 for more than a decade holding a Leupold Mk4 3-9x36 (original configuration) without issue. Always returns to zero and has done the job quite well. Today I use other systems but back then, ARMS was the only era correct solution. As long as they keep...

    BCM MK12 Mod0 Review

Easiest way I've found on the BCM uppers is to use a heat gun for installation and removal. Even a cheap one will make quick work of the job and minimizes the chance of damage by pounding on the barrel. Once heated, move quickly as they cool really fast!

    Feed ramp misaligned?

Once you have it built, take a look at the brass (hand fed) and see if there are scratches that match the extension. It is probably okay and won't pose any issue.... the important aspect of the ramps is that they "feed". Extraction and ejection should be fine. If the scratches are deep, as...

Night Vision Scuba diving with dtnvs

Probably been tried at high levels but found to not work very well..... if there is no light due to the water or night conditions, there is no light to amplify hence the NV would not work without IR which would probably reflect back and render the NV useless.

I was hoping they were shipping those..... oh well, patience builds character!

For those that recently returned their XTR3..... were they the illuminated version?

    Where to buy a DBAL-D2?

If you want to take a chance, there are a few real dealers on eBay but I can't recommend a particular seller. I lucked out and Dvor.com was running a sale and got the tan for about $1050 keep an eye on them and you might get a deal. BTW, bought several items from Dvor.com without issue. They are...

    IR illumination for the woods

What Generation is the NV? Agree that the Surefire is a good choice for the distances you are working with.

    Burris Warranty Service is gtg

At the time I was setting up my upgrade, there were no non-illuminated models of the XTR3 available so that was taken out of the equation. You can always give them a call and ask. Pure speculation by me but you will be on a waiting list if you opt for the illuminated since they were working out...

    Scope slipping

Might try using rosin on the ring surfaces, I might be the last person on earth that does this on every install but they never slip!

    Burris Warranty Service is gtg

That is correct, I called after receiving a message through their portal (warranty) stating that it could not be repaired.... Asked about options and paid the difference from the original selling price to today's price on the XTR3. I was willing to "trade-up" since the older scope was...

Glad your getting taken care of. I too returned one back in March but decided to upgrade to the new XTR3 Illuminated so I'm still waiting. While I'm ready to have it, the chance to upgrade a 10+ year old scope to current model is fair enough that the wait is tolerable.

Raising AR15 Purchase Age To 21

Socialist care as much about the victims of school shootings as Stalin cared about farmers. Without politics...... just numbers: Uvalde - 19 kids 2019-21 abortions promoted by Democrats/Communist - 619,898 source; US CDC

    Best .223/5.56 soft point/hunting bullet

Here in Texas, we use 55gr FMJBT for shoulder shots (head too) and they rarely go all the way through. This is out to ~100 yds at night. On the big ones, SS109 62gr works better than expected and does not over penetrate. Never really tried SP on hogs....

Me too! and works pretty good!

    Green Boresight laser

If you continue with the laser idea, they will get you on paper but my experience is that the distance the laser is "sighted" must be at least 50yds. Green still isn't visible in bright daylight so subdued light is best when sighting. My particular laser gets first shot impacts about 3" high...

    Anyone running a DDMK18 Suppressed?

One consideration, when suppressed, every inch of barrel sticking out counts. But, the shorter the barrel the harder it is on the suppressor too! Regarding overgassing (within reason), other parts are relatively cheap so a little more reliability is a fair trade IMO.

    Daniel Defense AR-15

Considering the current political environment, and I bought my first AR in 1974 (was a Colt SP1), I would buy anything you can find for a reasonable price. It can always be upgraded to meet and exceed any factory build. There are good info sources as to the good and bad when you start upgrading...
