Rifle Scopes Choosing an Athlon scope, not sure the value of the features.

Thanks for the response! Given what you've said, I guess it is down to deciding between the Argos and Ares. I just think of all the extra ammo I could get if I got the Argos haha.

    Will a AR10 .308 bcg work for 6.5creedmoor

I was looking at the 20" or 22" since I'll be putting on a surppressor on it when it comes home in the next month or two.

    Will a AR10 .308 bcg work for 6.5creedmoor

It's from a local shop called Live Fire Armory in Colorado Springs, CO. They said it was "their brand" of BCG, so not sure what that means. Waiting for them to open to call them. There's killer deals on Wilson Combat barrels right now ($250 for select barrels) and I'm looking at one of those.

    Will a AR10 .308 bcg work for 6.5creedmoor

Ok, I understand what it's measuring now. What is the best thing to do now? Buy a new bcg, buy a new bolt or just shoot it and see what happens.

    Will a AR10 .308 bcg work for 6.5creedmoor

So I could run my current BCG safely and just check for pierced primers? And if they are I would just need a new high pressure bolt?

    Will a AR10 .308 bcg work for 6.5creedmoor

So I'm converting my AR10 in .308 to 6.5cm and was wondering if I needed to change my bolt or bcg. I've seen on some websites while browsing for a barrel that the bolt needs to be headspaced. I didn't do that prior to shooting my AR originally. Is that something specific for 6.5cm? How would I...

Oh good to know. How much was your kestrel? And do you mean 4k to 10k in elevation?

How will elevation affect my ballistics in Colorado?

I was wondering if you were in Colorado for the video you posted! Good to know on the kestrel. Is that something I should invest in sooner than later?

Member Link Up Colorado: Places to Shoot, People to Shoot With

Not sure how many people read this thread, but looking for some basic help at a range for a morning or afternoon. Getting into long range, and have shot for a while so I know basics (been shooting since I was about 7 and prior military), just not for bolt guns with nice scopes. In Colorado...

How will elevation affect my ballistics in Colorado?

Awesome thanks! Is there an app for android that work well for adjusting all of this as well as recording previous outings?

How will elevation affect my ballistics in Colorado?

So I'm going to be getting a 6.5 creedmoor (probably a Tikka CTR) and I was wondering how elevation will affect my shooting. I do antelope hunting and will probably participate in some PRS matches around 6300 feet and go for deer around 8000 feet. Will there be a noticeable difference between...
