    Tikka experts. A1 chasis question.

I have never used that exact chassis, but on every other tikka I have ever owned they drop right into a chassis and feed fine, doesn’t matter if it’s a .223 or a 6.5 PRC, every tikka action is the same footprint. I’m not 100% sure on the A1 chassis and the attachment on the base to hand guard...

    Tikka experts. A1 chasis question.

Not at all, it’s the little piece of metal that’s held on by the bolt holding the trigger in place. While you have the trigger off may as well install a aftermarket trigger spring.

    Tikka experts. A1 chasis question.

Yep, you will need to pull the magazine retention spring if your going to feed it with CTR or aics mags but that’s it.

Question on Redding competition shell holders

I think they work pretty well at maintaining consistency, IME having some cam over with the comp shell holders is more consistent then having the sizer screwed up off of a shell holder. The biggest advantage to me is when your loading for different rifles with the same dies and not having to...

Question on Redding competition shell holders

In your example the +.010 would (should) give you exactly that 1.076 if your getting 1.066 with a normal (+.000) shell holder. Basically if your oversizing your brass and want less shoulder bump then the bigger the number on the shell holder then the less it bumps the shoulder.

Kung Flu is kicking my ass

One in 5000? In the last month alone I personally know (co-workers, friends, etc) 7 people who are fully vaxed that were/are pretty darn sick from it. The sickest one caught it from his fully vaxed son in law who I’m not even counting because I don’t personally know him. I also don’t know 35,000...

    300 PRC update

Hey guys, wanted to pick your brains on something I have never seen before. I thought I had a pretty solid load in my 300 prc but I’m getting a ES jumper in about every group. Lapua brass, this is the second firing, annealed on a AMP, full length sized with Redding bushing die, mandrel to set...

    CO hunters

It sounds like your a CO resident, get a point or 2 and get a cow tag in a good limited unit for 1st season. You will see plenty of elk and more then likely fill your freezer. In the meantime (even this fall) buy a otc bull tag, get on-X and hike around a few days. I have seen tons of bulls...

Rifle Scopes New Bushnell Elite LRHS2

Thanks for the info. Was really hoping they would add a extra mounting spot for us lefty’s but it sounds like it’s exactly like the LRTS.

Rifle Scopes New Bushnell Elite LRHS2

Dumb question, but does the throw lever have multiple options for position so us lefty’s can use it without bolt interference?

TL3 vs Ruckus, hunting rifle build.

That doesn’t surprise me about the Proof not clocking right. I’m not sure because I have only seen a few but it almost seems like they (proof) don’t really care where the markings end up. It even says on their site that they aren’t guaranteed to clock right. I guess it doesn’t bother me, the...

TL3 vs Ruckus, hunting rifle build.

The Nitraded Defiance’s are slick no doubt. I love the one I have, zero complaints. I just see a lot of praise for Zermatt and was curious if I was missing out on something.

TL3 vs Ruckus, hunting rifle build.

Ya I have had a few Lone Peaks. Nice actions for sure. I think Proof just started LP prefits so that is another option.

TL3 vs Ruckus, hunting rifle build.

Looking for some opinions here. In the process of getting parts for a new elk rifle build. Im kinda down to these two actions although I’m open to others if anybody has other suggestions. I want to be able to use Proof prefits, more then likely going to go with 300 prc just because I already...

IMR8133 - It Has To Be Good For Something... Right??

I had good luck with it in a 28 Nosler. It worked OK in .264 win mag but got kinda jumpy at the top end. From what I have seen it will never give the speeds that Retumbo or N570 will. It’s certainly not my first choice but I didn’t think it was a horrible powder. Basically Retumbo with less...

    re-barreling a Tikka?

Prefits are already chambered and ready to thread on. If you took your factory barrel off you would basically have a shouldered prefit. You can buy shouldered prefits (no barrel nut, looks exactly like the current barrel) or barrel nut as you have seen. Any gunsmith should be able to take the...

    300 PRC update

Thanks guys. I’ll get one ordered, looks like .334 is the closest I have right now.
