New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I’m not much of a Vortex fan, but the weight of the LHT sucked me in to go on a lightweight 6.5 saum build. It’s tracked perfect out to 1100 yards and held zero after a few pretty good falls.
The glass is great , I think I would take it over a V6 or a vx6 but I haven’t had them side by side...
The 215 wrecks elk. We have killed bulls from 80 yards to a loooooong ways out with them with zero complaints. I just killed a bull last week with one as a matter of fact. Even on the closer range stuff they still work well. I trust them enough I used them on a moose hunt and they kill moose...
I think I would hunt around for a used Bushnell LRHS. It meets the sub 32 oz requirement, not super tall turrets, FFP, mil-mil and can be found for well under your budget.
For that matter has anyone used factory CTR bottom metal on a T3 that didn’t begin life as a CTR? I found conflicting info online on if the bottom of the actions were cut slightly different between the T3, T3X and CTR/A1.
Just curious if anybody knows if a T3 varmint (not T3X) will fit a Tikka A1 chassis and feed ok from the CTR mags. Any difference in the way the actions are cut on the bottom? Thanks in advance!
