Don’t see this anymore on your ammo box.

my 123g Amax load is 39.9g of Varget at 2.820(whatever mag length is)... its a stout load, but pretty close to their recommended for a 120.

    New truck

I still stand by the Ford's. The Gen 4 Coyote engine is solid. Cylinder deactivation on the Ford is a far better system than on the GM. The belt driven oil pump is a concern to some, but I think the recommended change interval is 150k miles and im sure the cam chain tensioners will go out...

    New truck

Of your list the F150 with the 5.0 would be the way to go. I believe in the STX you can get the 12" screen... its definitely the way to go over the 8" screen... FX4 on any Ford truck is a waste of money. Its generally skid plates(that can be added later), shitty shocks(which are not much...

    New truck

10spd in my 23 has much better programming than the 10spd in my 22. There were a batch of bad compressors in the 24's so your issue isnt unique. Turn off rear brake assist... I turned mine off day 1. I would have to go through the menu's again and find it. When you turn front and rear brake...

The population of Alaska is like 800k give or take. Damn near half live in Anchorage. The north east side of anchorage is "nicer". I mean if your wife is going to be the bread winner, just turn into a town drunk and you'll fit right in.

Self-proclaimed Pit Masters of SH- I've got some questions

Best thing a buddy told me was to let your smoker run where it runs depending on the conditions of the day... he said "within reason" obviously. You dont want it at 180 but you also dont want it at 480... He said some days his will run 225 and other days its closer to 325 and anywhere in...

Port strike coming… not going to be good!

I will only address these 2 points. Unions take strike votes far in advance of an actual strike. I have searched for when the ILA took theirs, but ive given up after about 10 minutes. Only one I can find is the Canadian arm of the ILA took a strike authorization vote in 2023 and over 99%...

Port strike coming… not going to be good!

Its hard for me to fathom that 39-50 bucks an hour is considered a "high wage" today. I think the 77% is a reach personally, but hey, dream big. Cause if you go in to negotiations and lay out your real number you are willing to settle for you will end up with 10% less, at least.

Port strike coming… not going to be good!

Show me a company website during negotiations and it will look something like that. They take the highest earner, probably including a ton of overtime, the health benefits, retirement benefits, etc... What is the hourly pay? Im seeing 39-50 an hour thrown about. Clearing 200k on 50 an hour...

Port strike coming… not going to be good!

Guy on another forum who is a longshoreman at one of these ports says they can unload 2 containers to every automated ports single container. It might have been more than 2 I would have to go back and look. And then he said the automated trucks are also slow and things get lost very easily...

    Are truck prices finally falling?

Im on my second 7.3 SuperDuty... 2022 and a 23. 23 is "better" in that the interior is a little nicer than the 22. I like the heads up display and the seats are nicer(I have the max recline seats which are platinum seats without the massage function), the all digital dash is better. The...

    Are truck prices finally falling?

MOST of those have been in the chassis cabs that are detuned and that do a lot of idling. And I THINK for 2023 they "fixed" either the lifter or cam, not sure which in all the engines. Dont hear of many 23's that have lifter/cam issues. 23 has different ecu program than 20-22. MUCH better...

    Are truck prices finally falling?

Thats why I did the 7.3 in my SuperDuty... Same everything else as the diesel, without any of the headache and 8500 less cost... I am convinced that the gas motors would be the ideal motor for the vast majority of 3/4-1T truck users... but its not diesel so it doesnt help increase the size of...

    Are truck prices finally falling?

I bought my SuperDuty from Bill Fick in Huntsville. They are the largest SuperDuty dealer in the USA. 2 other dealers that do good deals is Granger Ford in Iowa and Chapman Ford in the North East. GMC seems to be Laura Buick/GMC outside of St. Louis. I didnt look much at Ram's, but there is...

    Are truck prices finally falling?

So just to put something in perspective... First Stelantis sucks... 2nd... Ford built/sold 2 million vehicles in 2023. Stelantis sold 1.5 million. BMW NA built/sold 365k vehicles in the USA in 2023. Hyundai sold 870k... I could go on... So as a percentage of sales BMW is fucking...
