Night Vision suggestions for an inexpensive Thermal or night vision for a racoon killing rig

Bingo. Coondagger traps are my favorite. Bit of dog food covered in lobster oil you will have a coon a night in each trap. Easy to set and work with too.

    2021 Nightforce ELR Steel Challenge

Considering there isn’t a 245gr Berger to be found anywhere. It was way easier to take the new slower twist barrel from the toolbox drawer over to the lathe, cut some threads and shove a reamer in it than to switch a bullet. Especially since the 230’s run good and I have pretty good data on them.

    2021 Nightforce ELR Steel Challenge

The real question is, why haven’t those people slowed the twist rate of their barrels to accommodate? I lost a couple last year, changed twist this year, no issues. Or do we only believe that the twist rate needs to be stupid high cause that’s what we read on the internet? I don’t know shit...

HR 127 gunna get steam. Gun registration.

Then i guess we all become criminals. The guy who stops me and tries to take shit away will have a fun job. If everyone has the same mentality there will be no cops, no law makers, no gun takers left, and only those who were armed and survive will be around to laugh. At the end of the day...

    Looking Into 300 Norma Mag

You will be fine with the 8.4. Both of the original barrels on the trg and the dta were 7.5. To run 190-210gr solids. The only difference between the two was mine had a year of wear on the barrel before switching to lead. The dta was new last winter. The dta was running rl26 and the trg was...

    Looking Into 300 Norma Mag

With the trg I did nothing but blow the dust out of the rifle at the end of the day and a patch with brake clean down the barrel. No issues in the dust. Took 1st in several stages and didn’t fair too bad overall. Not bad for a first trip out there.

    Looking Into 300 Norma Mag

Simply a function of barrel twist. Too fast for lead. The original idea was to shoot solids, then the a-tip came along so we choose to run them. The dta was loaded about 50fps faster than the trg in moderate temperatures, when hot it hit the threshold of jacket separation. The choice to run...

    Looking Into 300 Norma Mag

Sako TRG42 and a DTA. Both feed Norma improved with 230 a-tips from the magazine and function in Wyoming dust with 60+mph winds. Great rifles.

    Bag rider education/help

Exactly, they had all kinds of cool Inlets for odd stuff. I suppose volume over one off’s pays the bills. Ahh, direct from the adjustable bag rider guy will be cool. They make nice stuff. I made bronze bushings for mine, they use linear bearings. Had to take a screen shot of the photo cause...

    Bag rider education/help

Meh, I’m already ahead of them and I have what I want. They discontinued all the stock inlets I might ever want anyhow. Glad I got my lefty ar50!stock before they made themselves irrelevant.

Nice, and expensive. Buddy installed on on the back of his xlr. That’s where I got the brainchild idea for the one I built.
