New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I too appreciate any manufacturer that will come into a forum to discuss their product. I'm also grateful for more competition amongst manufacturers as we the consumers benefit greatly. These scopes appear to be another great option to folks in the thermal market. Time will tell.
Just received this via email:
HALO Thermal Scope 12µm 640x480, 25mm: $5995
HALO-LR Thermal Scope 12µm 640x480, 50mm: $7495
I'm interested to say the least, but it will take a lot to get me away from Triji. I'm already not liking the push buttons on these compared to the toggle/ turrets.
I have a couple Gibbz uppers. The biggest reason I went to a side charger was to allow me to use any stock I wanted with an adjustable cheek rest. I use XLR's with the full sized cheek rests and they don't get in the way of a charging handle.

That is always a possibility regardless of what you're buying.

South East. About 10 miles from Indiana.
They're just starting to respond somewhat consistently. Weather has been a drag like everywhere else. I'm ready for a good freeze.
See, now this makes sense to me, but most people aren't using a setup like this. Most are using something with normal .223 ballistics so I can't understand the struggle with the 300' and under stuff.
I'm curious as to what caliber you hunt with. I've heard many people talk about how valuable an LRF is at night only to then say that their shots range from 1-300 yards. I shoot a 70 grain bullet at about 3200 fps and have no trouble shooting coyotes at these ranges. I'm just curious what issues...
Thanks guys.
I've read about people drilling stumps and adding salt/ diesel into the holes. Supposedly the salt helps the fuel soak clear into the roots and then it'll burn clear out. Anyone tried that?
