    Don’t over think this. 143 ELD-X doesn’t need to be 2.990 to shoot well. 153.5 Berger @ 2.940” OAL shoots really well from 6.5 PRC.     Factory ammo? If factory ammo, some info on ammo would be helpful. Reloaded ammo? If reloaded ammo, what bullet and propellant? Verified that gas block is centered over port in barrel? How big is port? Ideally measured using gauge pin.

    OP You are piercing primers. If you have 15 pieces that came out of BCG, high probability you’ll have etched / damaged tip of firing pin, will need to be replaced to prevent continued piercing of primers.
