    More than one way to skin a cat. Measure with micrometer, mark with a crayon and cut with axe. Plenty of error / tolerance stack in every method. Find the method that makes it best between your ears, gives you desired performance and carry on.

    Intermediate gas system barrel available now vs rifle gas system barrel who knows when; I'll take intermediate now. IF the can is adding that much back pressure.....other was to address. Intermediate gas is still going to be vast improvement over factory G2 barrel and much shorter gas system...

    What propellant are you using? What is preferred can for 16”, large frame gas gun? Do you want a functional rifle or just want to vent? DMPS, Gen 2 or not, 16” bbl’ed factory guns that I’ve been around have pretty much all been POS that required significant effort to make run well w/o a can.

    No powder in those cases. Those who have done it. Those who will do it. Those who will do it again. Easy to have happen. One thing out of sequence, one distraction and get a case or two w/o powder. Once your OCD gets to CDO, probably won’t happen again. 🤣

    LaRue UUK will fit on Mega MATEN lower. Tight fit, very tight. Armalite upper almost fits but pins won’t fully go home. I have a “B” series Armalite, you’d want the “A” series. I do not have an “A” series to fit check with.

    If bolt will lift and go fully up, bolt will not move rearward. Can put a brass rod down bore, through neck of case and against web. Wooden dowel works also. If have neither brass or wooden dowel readily available, either rubber mallet or mortaring are options.

    Cases are starting to stick. Heavy up buffer and add an adjustable gas block. 43.0 +/- couple tenths of Varget in LC brass w/178 is fairly warm load for as configured from DPMS, 24” bbl.
