SOLD: Savage small shank 21" Criterion 6.5CM barrel - $225

I bought this barrel used from my local gunsmith (Village Pines in Hugo, MN) to use on my ARC Nucleus action while I waited on my final Criterion barrel to ship. This had about 300 rounds down the throat when I got it, and I put 213 round down it since getting it; all 140 grain ELDs, which shot...

Making the Most of 200 yards

Great advice and what I do at 100/200y ranges. Start with 2 moa targets and do timed positional shooting drills. That will directly apply to better PRS shooting at longer ranges.

Rifle Scopes Mark 5HD vs. Nightforce ATACR 7-35

I (finally) switched from my beloved Steiner T5Xi 5-25 to a Nightforce ATAC-R 5-25 about a week ago. I wondered the same thing for years. It's kinda difficult to describe but I'll make an attempt. Side by side, on a good day, at a static range, I'd say the difference is very similar. When...

    Two stage trigger.

I'm running a Huber Concepts. It's worth having a conversation with John Huber about this. He's put a huge amount of thinking into what it takes to make triggers with super low lockup times as it relates to human kinetics. And, considering the scope is the first thing you interact with and the...

SOLD: Magpul Pro 700 Chassis, SA, Folding, Black - $750

Yes it is; and I’d still love to switch to the green one.

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Just thought I'd add a post-match update. I used my spotting setup pictured above at a matches this past Saturday and Sunday. It was one of the best pieces of spotting equipment on the 1000y line and everyone who used it was super impressed. Needless to say, my spotting scope was sold by Tuesday...

    SOLD: SP-4001 for SP-4006

I have a Sphur SP-4001 mount I'd like to trade for a SP-4006. I need just a bit more height to clear a recently purchased NV bridge for my chassis. I have the original packaging and everything else for the SP-4001. Lemme know if you have questions. -ES-

SOLD: Magpul Pro 700 Chassis, SA, Folding, Black - $750

Yeah, I shot my first matches with it this past weekend and have another on Saturday. Love the chassis... just think that the green one would be badass with my Multicam Black accessories. Gotta look cool. :ROFLMAO:

    Range Report SD and ES

What did the actual numbers look like and how are you charging your loads? Human error charging one cartridge heavy/light can cause high ES on a 5-shot group. The human part of the process is the most likely culprit from my experience.

    David Tubb’s Finalfinish

I've used this on several factory barrels with good results (Ruger Precision Rifle, Remington 700 in 300WM and another in 6.5CR). That said, I don't use this on my custom barrels. Shooting the finishing rounds, per the instruction, as light loads for the very first shots seemed to smooth out...

    FS: Huber 2 Stage Trigger

I’ll take the subdued one. I PMed contact info.

......and the absolute dumbest/crappiest binocular strap/harness/case award goes to Sig Sauer!

Similar to my thoughts. That said, I’m using this for a carry harness when needed: https://rickyoungoutdoors.com/basic-ultra-light-bino-harness/ And using this for a case: https://www.511tactical.com/66-padded-pouch.html Problem solved.

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Here’s the spotting setup I’ll be running at my first match this weekend. From my experience this ranges reliably past 3000y and I’ve not used a piece of civilian kit this capable. I used the binos yesterday spotting 6.5CM and 308 impacts on steel at 1000y; compared to my Bushnell spotting scope...

    New Hornady A-Tip Bullets

I have a personal goal of running my 6.5CR and 300WM to a mile this summer and will probably use these. That said, for 1200-1300y and in which is the extent of most PRS matches, the 140gr ELD still works well.

    Just the tip? :ROFLMAO:

    Nucleus Light Primer Strikes

I shot last night at 600y and again today at 100y. No light strike problems with the 16# spring and Huber tiger on either BR-2 or BR-4 primers. Now I’m really curious what the issue was and my theory is one or more of the following: 1. Just needed to mechanically “break in”. 2. Bitchy in the...

Rifle Scopes Question about Nightforce ATAC-R zero stop

Though with a 100y zero and a 2+ inch bore over, isn’t everything a hold over? Just curious the why behind your comment. Also, thanks in advance.
