    Outstanding. Honestly, I have a Surgeon action but it's extremely difficult for me to justify building anything on a "Custom" action with the price they go for here in Australia. I've never felt even remotely disadvantaged with a Tikka (quite the opposite), even took one hunting in African years...

    I have 5 barrels across two of my tikka actions but I use the PVA action wrench to swap out shouldered barrels at 50ft/lb. Takes 5min and I leave the optic on. That said having flats cut is a pretty elegant solution, especially if running a carbon barrel as I'd be weary of crushing one in my vice

    Straight 6BR is easily the best shooting decision I've ever made. Load dev totally redundant - I literally could not find any combo of Varget/105 Hybrids that didn't shoot .5moa or better (much better). 21.5' barrel = 2725fps. Probably the most fun rifle I've ever owned.

    I had both scopes and ran them side by side many times. Overall if price was no different I'd very slightly favour the S&B, but the differences are small and both are excellent optics.

    I was always more of stock guy until the ACC came out. Now I've got one coming for my Surgeon. The ability to make minor tweaks until the rifle is perfectly tailored to the shooter is hard to give up once it's been properly experienced.     Unless it's being paired with a short barrel there aren't many benefits to short scopes. Keeping the objective lens far away from the muzzle isn't a bad idea.

    Thanks for all the input fellas. Scope is in hand and all the controls appear typically NF, which is to say, excellent. More to say once it's mounted and thrashed :)
