MDT AICS 308 Metal Magazine Review

I run your 10 round polymer 223 mags in my Bravo right now, no complaints at all. What is the benefit or reason you are coming out with new .223 mags?

Tikka CTR/TAC A1 stock and chassis options

If you're going to drop the action into a chassis, you might consider the Varmint instead of the CTR or A1. I have found them much less expensive, and since I'm tossing everything except the barreled action...

Sidearms & Scatterguns What's the standard for an accurate pistol

There is no standard. What is the intended purpose of the pistol? 5" at 25 is quite acceptable for real world use. None I've ever seen or used are that inaccurate. The G19M averages about 1.37" (or close enough, if I'm remembering slightly wrong) at 25. Most other glocks will be worse, but...

Gunsmithing Convert AICS for Remington 700 SA to Tikka

Like the title says, do any of you gunsmiths do this kind of work? Any issues, or does the chassis work as well with the T3 as it does the R700? Thanks very much.

    Flush Cups

I can't imagine why anyone would want sling swivels that rotate. My only complaint with the Bravo chassis is the rotating sling swivel they include for the rear of the stock. Why would they do that in 2018? Makes no sense at all.

    Sling recommendations

A carry strap is a carry strap. VTAC or VCAS, it makes no difference. My CQB gun (work) has a carry strap. My precision rifles and my hunting rifles have modern shooting slings on them. Why not have something that adds no real weight, bulk or complexity, but gives you enhanced hitting...

Solid beginner's bolt gun for learning shoot long range?

To add to the above, since I seem to have too much time on my hands for the minute... If you get a Tikka, and you like it, then you are done. If you want to improve it, and drop it in a chassis, then you are still done for relatively little money. After you shoot the heck out of the .223, if...

Solid beginner's bolt gun for learning shoot long range?

Just in the FWIW category, I was shooting a .223 at 643 yards last weekend. No problem seeing or hearing hits. No problem getting them either:-) Since the OP said 300 yards normally, and only out to 600 sometimes, .223 is the no brainer. Now, if he wants hunting stuff too, then whatever...

    Tikka T3 Thread

That's actually what made me curious about the feasibility. If the chassis was in better condition, I would have already bought it.

    Tikka T3 Thread

Thanks very much! My google fu failed me. Has anyone seen an AICS for the T3? I'll call Eurooptic Monday and ask what happened to it, but it certainly doesn't seem available now, if it was previously.

    Tikka T3 Thread

None of you Tikka fans knows anything about putting them into an AICS? I thought some of you guys have done that.

    Tikka T3 Thread

What's involved in modifying an AICS chassis to accept a T3? Easy deal for a good smith or what? Any problems or issues going this route?

New RRS Tripod and Anvil-30 Feedback

I don't know what you mean by 10 round mag flexibility, but you are correct, the Anvil 30 is very close in weight to a leveling base. I must have confused it with something else, probably the 55 ballhead.

Suppressors High heat suppressor covers ??

I ended up getting an Armageddon Gear High temp cover. So far, so good.

    Favorite AR trigger

JP is the nicest I have used. The roller trigger is pretty sweet. Have Geisselle in at least half a dozen AR's. Very nice duty type trigger. Not even close to the JP for break quality.

New RRS Tripod and Anvil-30 Feedback

What level of precision are you able to achieve with the 3 section legs from standing? Do you use any additional gear, like a sling to help? The first RRS tripod I used was a 3 section, and it was excellent. My 4 section 34/Anvil-30 is no less precise for me, but does pack up smaller. There...

Gunsmithing Remington 600 - 350 REM Magnum - Caliber change?

I would not mess with that gun. It will also cost you a ton to do what you want. Down load it if you must, or buy the 308 or 243 version and then you're done.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Thoughts? 9mm 1911

I'm pretty sure you really don't want a 6" 9mm 1911. 5" is sluggish as is. A commander length is generally considered ideal. If its not an edc, and not for concealment, what is it for? That will help. Frankly, I've been down the 9mm 1911 road and I think its far from ideal. Obviously YMMV...

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS specific questions

I think there is some confusion here between exit pupil and eye relief. In addition, where eye relief is a linear measurement, eye box is basically eye relief, plus the amount of room you have up and down before getting scope shadow. This isn't bad...

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS specific questions

Yeah, maybe I wasn't clear in my post, I was only referring to the 3-15 aspect. At $300, the 10X is great, no doubt, but if you want a higher power variable, especially a FFP, I think the bushy beats the SWFA in that price range.
