    It does lock up tight.. Not as tight as you would like.. But that is the nature of that mount. I keep it clean though.. When those teeth get grit in them, and you take them off and on a lot, it wears the detent spring out faster for sure.. as it acts like sand paper. I like the threads stay a...

    No problems here, but it is what it is. Not always going to go the repeat-ability of a dedicated can. Mine shoots great across the board from 5.56, 300 blk, 7.62x39, .308 win.. I have shot plenty of nice groups with it on my .308s. Shifts are repeatable.

    We have the New Remington 700 Cerakote 5r in 24 & 26 inch.. And as someone said above the 5r is my vote also. I have the 700 AAC edition, I like it, and I have shot it out to 800 yards accurately. The 5r barrel is 1:11.25 and the extra few inches will help if you are capable of doing handloads...
