    Did your tacticool fit your 455 out of the box?

    Every tacticool I've done requires a little sanding in the barrel channel. Everyone of them is also a candidate for pillar bedding at the min and glass bedding. Lay your action in the stock with the screws removed and push it forwards, backwards, and side to side. You should get 1/16" to 1/8"...

    One of my tacticool builds are officially done (17 HMR). The other is getting a custom option tacticool (trying for high grade walnut) and a lilja 22 mag barrel. The new M5 trigger guards are finally here and boy do these things look totally bad ass! I can't wait to see one on a precision...

    Question for Lilja barrel owners??

    That's exactly what I'd expect from a stock 455. Pillar bed and glass bed it and the consistency will improve! Here is a group from a lilja 455 at 50 yards with eley match. Rifle shoots consistently in the .2's when the wind isn't blowing.

    Justin, would you be willing to sell me that factory hmr varmint barrel? I can most likely easily fix it by lapping it and recutting the crown. I can totally use it for my wife's build I'm doing (no she doesn't deserve a lilja yet lol).

    Eliminating forend flex in the tacticool.

    You will need both. The steel rods alone will stiffen it but are held by pressure and can come loose. Glassing them in will make sure they will never move and also helps in stiffening things up.

    On my friends gun it worked perfect! I did a few more so waiting on feedback. If it's not windy tomorrow I'll take mine and shoot a few groups and will post the results.

    The 455 indeed is becoming the 10/22 as far as modifications go. I just wish cz would sell just the action already! I've attempted to purchase just the actions 3 times now and each time got a big fat NO! At least they have the American synthetic which is around $360 and selling off the barrel...

    The coopers can have some fantastic wood on them. One thing about them is they are in the US so if anything is wrong they fix it. They also provide an accuracy guarantee of 1/4" 5 shot groups at 50 yards which IMO should be included at that kind of money.

    Those little suckers look cute stuffed in the stinger case! A .20 cal in the 22 mag case or better yet wsm case would be the cats meow! If they launched a .20 cal off the 22 mag case I'll bet my first born I'd have lilja make a drop in for the CZ 455!
